tomorrow is weigh in day and i am not looking forward to it. i do not think i've lost anything since last week so i'm a tad bummed.
on the bright side. i got this recipe from chef meg here on sparkpeople. it was for slow cooker chicken marinara with veggies. i added more spices to it after reading the reviews from others and i must say it is yummy. i am having it tonight with some smart taste pasta full of whole grains and it makes enough for more meals during the week. i can't wait to see how hubby likes it.
i only did the treadmill at the gym today. but, i did it for 76 minutes. i just didn't feel like doing the other stuff. besides, i AM on vacation.. lol
my house is sooo hot i am sweating as i type my blog. almost time to get up and move into the bedroom where the AC is while i await hubby comeing home from the gym.
so, i guess i'll hit the road and move my butt into a cooler climate.

feeling a little blah today.
feel like i'm not making progress... yet again. i know its a useless feeling and regardless of what the scale shows i know i AM making progress, but it's not easy to look at the scale and see no movement.
i am finding that lately, if i eat in, or near, my calorie range -- i will gain a little back. this is weird, since a few weeks ago it was just the opposite. everytime i stick around 1200 calories a day, lately, i lose. it's not supposed to work that way.
quite frankly, i'm bummed about that, but i will adapt and overcome (at some point). lol.
i'm thinking i am going to break out the wii this week for a little exta effort in the A.M. since i do not have to work. that should be fun. i think i'll try some stuff i have not attempted before. i love me time.
went to barnes and noble tonight and got a free book for my nook. they give you a free book weekly, sometimes it is a good one that interests me, sometimes it doesn't. this one was borderline so i downloaded it and will check it out. hey, it was free so no harm done. right?
Kim -- i found the popchips your were talking about the other day. i got a bag of your favorite and by the time i got back from b&n hubby already ate 1 of the 3 servings in the bag. i tried one chip (needed to conserve calories today) and i thought it was very tasty. hubby thought it was different. not sure what that meant since he went back for more... lol. he is a strange fellow sometimes.
i feel stuffed but i didn't eat tons today. must be all the water i had in the last hour. i should be drinking something a lot stronger with the way my RED SOX are playing the past two nights.. lol

ok.. so vaca started for me around 2:30 this afternoon.
- came home to change
- went to gym
- went to dinner with hubby
- went shopping at target --- wayyyy too funny
ok, so don't laugh at me when i tell you this... but....
for the first time in, oh, i'd say 25 years I ACTUALLY BOUGHT A POCKET BOOK and WALLET. yeah, usually i just stuff whatever i need into my pockets and lately i have been feeling different about that. i'm thinking that i don't want my pockets bulging out now that i'm trying to get some kind of a FIGURE going here. lol
seriously, i don't know what happened. i just passed the aisle and started looking. i kept asking hubby which ones looked good with me.. and before you know it, i was buying it. so, sometime tomorrow i am going to put my credit cards, license and stuff in my wallet and try to figure out what else i am supposed to carry around. i feel so out of my league with this... it's wierd for me. i feel like i have been forced to be a tomboy my whole life because i was overweight (i think it was an excuse, it didn't matter if my pockets bulged before).
this is all new territory for me. smaller clothes that i can buy anywhere now. new hair. going to the gym. eating healthy (and lovin' it) and now this. a pocket book and purse. oh my, what will come next? is there anything left?
ok, so that is the end of my blabbing for the day. tomorrow i return my jeans for the next size down, hit the grocery store, the gym, and whatever..... ohhhh that sounds soooo goood..... WHATEVER!! whatever I WANT TO DO for the next 8 days.

i was so bummed two weeks ago thinking i was never going to make this mini goal.
the goal was 245 by the 7th and I BEAT IT!!! i was 244 this morning on the 6th.
you have no idea how much that just energized me !!!! everytime i hit a plateau i rearrange how i do my exercise workout and add different (but healthy) foods into my diet - just to change things up a bit.
this time i added grapefruit and silk almond milk. and i do a cardio stint to start my gym day AND to end my gym day. i can't believe how awesome this is working.
i could ramble on and on and on... but then i'd be late for work... i still have to shower and dress and drive for 90 minutes before i get there so i better get a move on.
i just had to SHOUT about my friend the SCALE today. (yeah, you don't hear those two words in a sentence too often, do ya -- friend, scale not your typical pair) LOL.
