they must be jinxed this year with all their injuries. not good, and now kevin youklis is out for the rest of the season. that just bites. they are going to miss him big time.
there is still hope in red sox nation though. we are winning tonight and that will gain us a game in the wild card race. i'll take the wild card to get into the playoffs.
i am so ready for a week off of work next week it is not even funny. i just want to chill and do nothing but concentrate on me!
two days to go and then --------- NOTHING.

i started a challenge for the next 6 weeks. exercise and weight loss will be tracked weekly (tuesdays)
funny, i went to the gym, as usual, and just kept going -- another 5 minutes won't kill me i'd say. truth is, after 5 min on the elliptical my legs were sore. lol.. but i made it through 23 minutes then did my strength training... followed by 35 on the treadmill --- 10% incline too. i was sooo soaked when i got out of there i could ring out my bandanna and shirt and fill an 8oz cup with just sweat... (ok, slight exaduration).
so i went to the store today and bought two pairs of jeans 2 sizes down from what i am wearing now... so from a 26 to a 22. i figured i'd use them as motivation since i didn't expect them to fit.
yeah, well, sunday i will be returning them for 20's or 18's --- they are a little too loose for me and since i am still loosing i don't want them loose. that was absolutely the most exciting thing that has happened to me in a while.
NEWS ALERT::: i have 2.5 lbs to lose before the 7th in order to meet my mini-goal and be at 245. that will be a grand total of 105lbs lost.
i'm thinking tomorrow will be a late evening for me. i have the owner and our consultant coming tomorrow and i have 2.5 days left to finish 2 weeks schedules in order for me to take next week off. but hey, a long night or two is certainly worth going on vacation. right girls?
nothing special this vaca. just keeping up with my exercise and maybe sell some stuff on ebay or whatnot. hopefully drop a few lbs along the way.

well, i have 7 days left to meet (or not to meet, that is the question) my goal of 245.
i'm thinking that i will be missing this little achievement as my weight is not moving in the past 4 days period.
i've certainly been eating more and getting much closer to my daily allotment of calories -- but, i just do not feel it happening for me.
it's a little depressing, i skipped 2 days of gym this past week - to see if that would help to trick my body into losing.... lol no dice. (hey, i'll try just about anything).
i know i exercise enough - that is definitely not an issue. i know i change things up a bit too. maybe i need to start exercising in the morning before work again, like when i started kicking some butt.
only prob with that is, sleep is not easy for me these days. do not know why. but even if i stop drinking by 8pm i am still hitting the ladies room 2 times a night. and trying to fall asleep isn't as quick as i'd like it to be either.
maybe my body is just tired and needs MORE SLEEP. that was my big revelation for today. i reverted to blaming lack of sleep for my lack of results. lol.. how cheap is that?
i guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens, huh?
i did join a challenge: weigh in is tuesday -- i hope this helps to motivate me. i also hope they send out info on where to post info. can you guess that i've never done this challenge stuff before... lol
good thing is, i know a few folks on the challenge, so hopefully that will help to keep me at it too. right now i am just grabbing at straws trying to make a difference and hoping that something works.
so far... it's been a dead end for about a week. and before that it took me almost 2 weeks to lose 2 lousy lbs.

well, the title says it all. i am slacking off today. skipped the gym == my body needed a period of rest and relaxation. yes, 2 weeks straight at the gym will do that to you. so, this week, i will slack off today AND on saturday. wahoo, it will be like a vacation.
got my new laptop in today... hubby just finished setting it up on the home network so i can get online with it now (currently typing this on the desk top). my laptop is sooo pretty. it is a dell inspirion 15r. i didn't think the screen and the keyboard would be so big, but i like it that way. it is more like a normal keyboard than i anticipated.
no gain, no loss this morning. not looking for any tomorrow with the lack of workout today.. but hey, stranger things have happened, right?
ok, i'm tired --- my body really did need a rest --- i need sleep too, only averaging 5 or 6 hours the past few nights. not sure why, but it stops tonight. lol.... the sox are not playing tonight so it will be easier for me to fall asleep. lol.
hope all is well with my sparkfriends near and far. you're the greatest.

I finally hit my mark. 100 lbs down as of yesterday. I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. I was going to skip the gym yesterday but I was so amped up from the scale in the morning that I just had to go.
14 days in a row I have gone to the gym. 14 days since I started the elliptical trainer. 14 days ago I was 9 lbs heavier.
I have 10 days left to reach my next mini goal of 245 bu August 7th. I think I can, I think I can........ I know I can!!!!
My goal of reaching 210 before heading to Florida in December is looking better every day. With any luck, I can surpass that and break under 200lbs. That would be such a wonderful christmas present to myself!!
I am skipping the gym on Saturday. It is the last day of the month and I need to do a complete inventory at work and by the time I get home the gym will be closed. Ho Hum. I am going to try to go both Thursday and Friday but my legs are starting to feel like jello on the elliptical. I think it's telling me to lay off for a day or so. Today I just did 20 minutes elliptical, strength training and 45 min on the treadmill. Mild workout but all encompassing.
I've learned to like green tea and grapefruit. No, I have never liked grapefruit - to tart for me, but I've found one I can eat happily. As for green tea - most of it tastes like dirt to me, but the twinings organic is different and actually tastes good. So I have added both of those 'weight loss' helpers to my diet in the past few days as well as eating more to actually eat within my suggested calorie range. I don't ever remember eating this much before and certainly not constantly.
I started losing more weight when I ate more. Go figure!!
Anyone have this problem? The bones around my neckline and shoulder area are really defined now. You can see them big time and without all the 'PADDING' that was there before. I can FEEL them there all the time. It is a kind of wierd issue, don't you think?
