Water Logged!

I drank too much water today (is that even possible?) I think it stopped me from eating the calories I needed. Not good. Under 1000 for the day and I am stuffed (this said as I am sitting here with, you guessed it, a bottle of water). But, what I did eat was fruits and veggies and chicken and yogurt. All good stuff!

I am off of work tomorrow.. the plan is to START cleaning the bedroom and office up, and EXERCISE! I have skipped the exercise today and blew my streak (but didn't get much sleep last night.. hubby was away) and I'm tired... better to be fresh in the morning for an activity filled day. Planning on using an exercise ball and band that I bought years ago.. and pop in the video that came with it.. and OFF I GO!

Good Start to the Week!

Today was a good day. I lost 2 lbs over the weekend and I am finding that I need to ADD calories by days end just to hit my goal. I keep coming up short on calories but I am really NOT hungry... It must be the fruits and veggies talking, they must satisfy me so that I am not always thinking about food like I used to.

It's kind of wierd. Being busy and having lots to do at work certainly helps, but I never ate a lot at work anyway.. I am famous for blowing it when I get home. But now that I have taken control over my dinners and night snacks and am watching everything that I eat.. I have no interest in continuously eating.

My problem is not being able to spend as much time as I want to on SP and learning more about getting healthy. I really enjoy getting notes and messages from folks here on SP, it is definintely a motivator and I am trying to be faithful and give back as well so that I can contribute to others' success.

I am gonna run now.... going to do some streangth training today. At least 15 minutes (that's my goal! still taking baby steps there)



  


Fruit & Veggie Filled Day!

Okay, so I had a Veggie and Fruit day today... Made an awesome salad for lunch, Fruit for breakfast and Smart Ones flatbread for dinner. Lots of water went along with this. Getting snow tonight so I have to make sure I get up early to exercise and allow myself extra time to get to work. Tomorrow I am working on another goal, to organize my house one room at a time... tomorrow I start the bedroom (to me that is the easiest one so I'll start there). Hubby is away tomorrow night so I will have mucho free time, hopefully, if the dog doesn't get mad at me for not playing a whole lot.

I hope you all did great this weekend. I have to say, this is the first weekend that I stayed on track ALLLLL WEEKEND. emoticon

Today was a busy day at work. I almost forgot to have lunch! I did great for breakfast. An orange, strawberries and grapes, water and coffee. Went to dinner with hubby and I had NO APPETIZER and NO RICE PILAF! I opted for all broccoli with my chicken breast and I let hubby eat the whole appetizer himself.. (actually, I suggested that he NOT even get one) I'm working on him to be an active member on SP but..... I guess he will have to wait and see my results then he will jump on the bandwagon... We both need to lose alot. Well, I am bushed. Oh, yeah, this is day 3 with noooooooooo soda. I have my own streak going here! Good night.

Ok, so today was a GREAT day. I ate healthy. I drank lots and lots of water. I was hungry on the way home from work so I stopped at my favorite fruit stand and got some fresh fruit and I nibbled on baby carrots during my drive.

I started a thread about motivational songs.. particularly one that gets me going... it helps me to believe I can accomplish my goals and I put it out there on a thread, there is a link there so you can actually listen to it AND download it if you like it. The end of this blog will contain the lyrics.. I am also interested if any of you have a song that inspires you. Add to the thread and let me know what you think of Russell Watson's "Faith of the Heart" or "Going Where My Heart Will Take Me" (same song just different name depending on where you look)

I got really excited at work today, too. My son stopped by the house to pick something up and he saw my vision of the future poster... he sent me a text message telling me he really LIKED IT!!! That was sooo cool. (It's not quite finished yet, will be by Sunday!)

I have a busy weekend planned. After work tomorrow I'm going to be working on my visual motivators to post in different places and finish my poster.

I was so motivated when I got home (yeah, I listened to my song on the way home) that while dinner was cooking I hopped on my fitness bike and just started going at it. This has been a major weak point with me and today got my blood pumping and it felt really really good.

I'm sure I still have more to say, but I gotta go read some emails and check out other's blogs and the message boards, then I would like to get a chapter of THE SPARK in before bed... Shooting for at least 7 hours of sleep tonight. (another weak point with me)
