monday monday monday
today was a rather uneventful monday, surprising enough. i never have an uneventful monday. albeit i ended up leaving work late and couldn't hit the gym due to a prior commitment. ho hum.
but, i did manage 30 minutes on the wii, which i have totally been slacking on for the past 3 weeks. my living room is hot and doing the wii didn't help. i really did not feel like finishing because of it, but i did. i had to since i could't hit the gym. i really miss it. yeah, i know it's only been a day but i miss it all the same.
got back to my fruit, veggies and yogurt. that made me really really happy.
picked up some clothes this weekend, gotta get ready for the cruise...
18 DAYS and i'll be on my way to NEW YORK to sail out on Saturday the 5th of June.
So, i tried on some capris, in the size i am wearing now... lol (26) and 'oh my god' they were too big! so i just grabbed the smaller size (24) and paid for them and i just knew they'd fit and.... yup, they fit great.
they only problem is, they might end up being too big too by the time i leave. after all, that's 3 whole weeks away (okay, 2 1/2 but close enough).
one of my employees today looked at me and asked what i was doing to get so thin. she actually referred to me as thin. well, i guess i am compared to what i was i suppose. she went on and on for like, a long time. it felt good.
it's kinda funny. my work cloths are falling off me and i am waiting for the smaller ones to come in. you would crack up laughing if you saw it. i am planning on taking a picture this week of me in my work pants -- and i'll show you all the difference and what i am dealing with while waiting for the uniform service to get their act together. my new pants should be in by thursday, i'll let you know how they fit..
i got up to a 3.5 incline on the treadmilll yesterday and a spead of 3 (that's the setting, not sure what it either one translates to, feel free to inform me if you know). it was like a 20 minute mile pace. yeah, that burned nearly 600 calories. i moved the settings around for the last 30 of my 60 minute workout. testing myself. i am shooting for a 4 incline and 3.5 pace by the end of the week. hoping to be able to maintain it for at least 30 minutes.
my plan is to hit the gym every morning on the cruise since not much happens in the early am hours. we usually don't dock at our destinations until 8ish and then we need to clear customs before we can disembark from the boat. so there is plenty of time, especially since i don't usually hit the slots until late late night. lol, but, i guess there is a first time for everything.. hahahahhaha
ok, enough for now... gotta go to bed, watching 'brothers and sisters' last night kept me up late (i was out and had to watch the dvr when i got home -i love NO commercials)

Today was a simple and rather normal day.
Nothing happened at work. Met hubby and friend at gym and worked out for almost 2 hours --- tried the bike today, along with my treadmill and streangth exercises.
Went out to eat with hubby and then played around at Barnes & Noble for a while just chillin'.
Came home and entered all my stuff and I am off to bed to watch some 'boob tube'.

I really do.
I was on my feet all day at work, then went to the gym and did 65 minutes on the treadmill (they were closing so that is all I could do) and my legs were killing me!!
Hahahaha, I kept telling myself "this is awesome, I'm gonna feel sooo good and proud of myself when I am done". I had to psych myself up to finish my 60 minute goal. It worked and I finished it.
I started with 20 minutes, then 30 minutes, then 45 minutes, now 60!!! I burned 539 calories!!!! That's more than I just ate for dinner.
Don't tell my hubby, but I think I'm going to Foxwoods Casino on Wednesday. My friend is on vaca and I have the day off.... Woohooo!! One armed bandit, here I come!

Well, with the old man in NY I came straight home from work to tend to my puppy who was home alone all day.
She is such a cutie pie, she follows me everywhere I go. About a month ago we stopped using a leash to take her outside (ahhh, country living) and she is soooo good with that it is not even funny. When she is done her business she runs back to the house and waits for me to get the door for her. She's such a diva!!
Needless to say I did not go to the gym today, but I will be going Friday, Saturday and Sunday which will make 5 days this week. So, I don't think that's too bad.
However, I have strayed immensely from my wii since getting addicted to the gym. I think it has been at least 2 weeks or more since I exercised on the wii. It all started whenI got sick and I haven't gotten it back yet. I am going to try to get up early tomorrow and do SOMETHING before work tomorrow.
Holding steady at 275 for the past week, which kinda bites. I have 10 lbs to go to reach my pre-cruise weight goal -- and 3 weeks in which to do it in. I have lots of work to do to reach that goal, it doesn't come off as easy as it did in the beginning, but, I guess that is to be expected. I just need to stay focused and get back to my winning habits.
When I got sick I only ate chicken soup == My fruits and veggies took a backseat. They don't taste very good when you are overdosing on nite quil and hacking all over the place. They just don't sit well or taste good when you are sick. I'm sure you all know what I am talking about.
But, this weekend, I am stocking up on my fruits and veggies and I am going to get back to basics and kick it into high gear. Who knows, maybe I can even surpass my pre-cruise weight goal. Anything is possible if you really work at it. I know !!
Question: What is the one thing you really really want to do but are petrified of doing it?
For me, I would really love to parasail. I see it all the time on my cruises and keep saying I'm going to do it, but, it never happens. I think I am secretly CHICKEN.

I still have my cough.
It's going to rain tomorrow!
It's going to be 50 degrees tomorrow in Boston!
I just gave my tickets away to the game. It's probably smarter to get 100% better first -- maybe if it was a warmer sunnier day it would have worked for me.
That's ok. I will have other opportunities to go catch the boys at Fenway.
ps. Sorry Kim, the Sox have beat the Blue Jays 4 times this year already and tonight we are working on number 5. I should fly to Toronto just to see my boys play, tickets are hard to get down here.
