ok peeps..

i hope you all had a wonderful week end.

today was a rather ordinary day. nothing special happened. my store is closing early so we can have new stairs installed going down to the basement and the kitchen area ceiling is being replaced and all new lighting is being installed. wahoo!! sooo exciting. guess i'll be going in early to make sure we can open up on time tomorrow.

did my gym thing tonight. i always love the way i feel when i am done working out. makes me want to do it more and more and more.

a friend of mine got me some free tickets to the sox game on wednesday..... AWESOME!!!! I love the seats she gets. they are right over the visiting teams dugout --- practically on third base. it is an awesome view!! and its a day game so i won't be out late and i can come home and go to the gym!!! yayyyyyy.

the only issue is what to eat. i'm pretty sure they do NOT have healthy choices at FENWAY. guess i'll be doing some searching... no fenway franks for me... or KETTLE CORN 000000h so YUMMY. if i can't find any good choices, i'll just wait until i get home. I REFUSE TO MAKE POOR CHOICES that will set me back.

lol.... yeah, lets just see how this goes. if i cannot be strong for this game.... it will greatly hurt me ---- then i will feel like i cannot go to see my beloved RED SOX play anymore... and THAT will NEVER happen!!!

  You could always take healthy snack(s) with you.. Like baby carrots or celery. I don't know if you like em' or not. But - it was just a suggestion. ;) Lucky girl .. getting to go to a baseball game. :) No one is going to my baseball teams games .. we have the lowest attendance in years (toronto blue jays). Weird. And, they are winning games this year too. LOL! Have lots of fun at the game. I'm sure you will do just fine in the food department. :)

Congrats on getting to the gym.. you gym nut ;) You are doing amazing!! :)

After the gym today - I felt soooooo good! I actually didn't cough for nearly 4 hours after. I guess the workout did lots of good for me. My body missed the gym as much as I did! An addiction made in heaven.

Funny story. My assistant looked at me today and said... "There is an arrest going on in the dining room." So I sauntered out there to check it out and see what was going on...

Mike (the cop) had this lady (30 ish) in handcuffs and he was trying to get her out of the restaurant. Meanwhile, the man that I assume was her boyfriend (or EX as the case might be) was just looking at her and she was SCREAMING and trying to wriggle away from the cop. "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU @#@@# DID THIS TO ME!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! I HATE YOUR #@#@#@ GUTS!! "

Yeah, she used a lot of colorful metaphors that I would not venture to repeat... but it was certainly an entertaining sight. And after she was gone.. the guy just mosied on over to his table, got his stuff, finished his drink and took his time leaving. NOt sure about anyone else, but if that just happened to me... I would have gotten out of there as fast as humanly possible... the embarrassment factor would be wayyyy too high. Maybe that's just me though.

Well, that was my whole day in a nutshell.

I want to wish all of you MOMMY'S an absolutely FABULOUS MOTHER'S DAY.

yeah, i am not a fan of missing the gym!

i feel like i am letting myself down by not going but, in all honesty, getting rid of this chest cough is my priority right now. i am just going to take my nyquil and go lay down in bed and cheer on the RED SOX as i try to get a nice looooong and hopefully peaceful nights sleep. i'm hoping that will get rid of the rest of this nasty cough and crap in my throat.

i went to the gym last night and just did the treadmill and i felt great afterwards. i felt good up until about 1 this afternoon then, it was crappy. it didn't help that my back was killing me (yeah, on top of all the coughing my FRIEND decided to show up today, oh lucky me!)

some litle kid pulled the fire alarm at my store today.. hahhahahahaha!!!! when that happens the alarms go off until the fire department comes and shuts them off and resets them. serves them right. they made us put the alarm pull station in between two exit doors in easy reach of everyone.... yeah including little kids 3 years old... lol. this is only the 3rd time in 2 months. you'd think they get the idea that this pull station does not belong where they made us put it. the whole dining area gave a round of applause to the brave firefighters after they shut the alarms off. it was really funny.

here's wishing all of you a wonderful mother's day on sunday. i'm sure i'll be back before then, but i want to make sure you all take it easy and just enjoy yourselves. you deserve it!!

tomorrow... i am definitely going to the gym --- no matter what!!

    I know what you mean. When I am doing good with my exercise and get sick it makes things so hard! If you push yourself to exercise you can make the illness worse and if you don't exercise you can break your momentum.

Funny about the alarm and everyone cheering... okay, it probably wasn't as funny when it was going off, but it makes for a great story!

  Hi Kat! Well, its a must that you look after yourself first... I know that it must be frustrating to miss the going to the gym. But, it will be there when you are feeling better enough to tackle it. :) Do you do an incline on the treadmill? And, what speed do you usually do on the treadmill?

To normal..... YAHOOO!!!

I am thinking that tomorrow I should be back to full force. I can't wait to do an entire routine at the gym. I feel like such a slacker it isn't even funny. Today was the first day I was able to actually eat FOOD that counted, calorie wise. After all, soup can only do so much for you and I know I did not eat well the past 4 days. I did not hit any of my goals (calorie, protein, fiber, etc) lol.

I checked in on most of you.... I am pretty sure I will once again be a regular fixture around here. I still have 10 lbs. to go to reach my pre-cruise weight of 265. I have 4 weeks and 10lbs. Cross your fingers. Had I not gotten that bug I would be 7lbs heavier. {sigh}

That is going to be such a challenge. Cruising and healthy eating do not exactly belong in the same sentance. There is FOOD EVERYWHERE on a cruise, not to mention a BAR or BARHOP everywhere you turn... lol. It used to be our bar bill was astronomical -- I don't see that happening this time around, especially since we are so calorie attentive now. I do plan on hitting the gym daily on the cruise though --I am committed. Just a little note: my last cruise, I gained 10 lbs --- that is what put me overboard and really got me committed to doing everything humanly possible to get healthy and lose weight.

Well, enough chatter. I have to go to bed and get 8 hours of sleep so I can wake up and have the remnants of this bug gone (hopefully)

  Lucky woman .. getting to go on a cruise. :) You have to tell us more about the cruise... like where are you going? how long? etc. You also have to take a camera with you and take lots of photos so you can share them with us all that don't get to go on a cruise (*points to self*) . LOL! Hmm. I think I'm just nosy. LOL!! ;) I'm sure you will do just FINE on your cruise .. with all the food that they have. :) Hope you had a wonderful sleep , Kat!
