Not good!!

I am officially in a rut. I feel sooo blahhhh it isn't even funny. I am snapping at everything, don't want to do anything and don't care about anything. Right now I just feel like absolutely NOTHING.

I woke up this way. It's strange. I was so tired last night I went to bed without doing my nightly exercise. I got up and felt NOTHING. I did my morning exercise - but it was just like I was going through the motions and that was it. I ate a healthy breakfast and that is it.

I have absolutely no motivation for anything today. I am probably having spark friends withdrawls since I have been so busy lately I have not even bloggged.

Not sure what I am going to do to get out of this rut. My head feels all FOGGY. Is that strange or what? I am having a cup of coffee as we speak, I figured I did not have my one cup today so maybe that was my problem --- yeah, it's not doing the trick.

  i felt EXACTLY like you do last week. it was a horrible SLOW week for me.. and, i didn't have very much motivation. i took the weekend off from exercising and i totally feel refreshed. sometimes you just need to break free... and have some fun. are you having any fun at all? don't worry.. this feeling... won't last too long.. (hopefully!) and always remember that we are ALL here waiting for you whenever you need us.

    Oh no Kat, how can I help?
I'm sorry things are feeling so lousy...
Maybe extra exercise or going to the gym would help...
Or just blogging some more about what you've been doing and what has been on your mind.
Or maybe you just need to respect that your body and mind need a day off and let it be... see what tomorrow brings. Sometimes we just have to get through those blah times to find the energy on the other side.
Let me know if there anything I can do to help...

Hey kids. emoticon

I have been out of touch, sorry for that. Work has been crazy. Hubby has been out of town AGAIN (and all next week too!!) which leaves me sit and play with puppy. I feel bad she is home alone during the day and hubby usually sits with her in the living room at night --- so I do it when he is not here and I only have my desk computer in the office (dog not allowed there) so I don't get on much when he is gone.

We painted the ceiling and 2 of the 4 walls on Sunday. Tried to get my car starter fixed - but failed. Went to the gym. Never made it to the grocery store this week. Bummer.

I went to the Avenue store today and tried on cloths --- I was doing good. Used to have trouble getting into some 30-32 sizes and today I was fitting into 24 and 26's. I was feeling rather giddy about that.

Just ordered a new pair of sneakers too. Anyone ever wear earth shoes? They are the best. I used to have back and feet problems - big time. I started wearing earth shoes again (they were big when I was in high school) and VOILA! the paid disappeared. They use this thing called KELSO NEGATIVE HEAL TECHNOLOGY. Basically it's like you are walking barefoot. Your heal is lower than the ball of your foot so your posture and gait are aligned. I highly recommend them! They are the only shoes I wear (and sneakers and sandles etc)

Ok... I gotta go to bed now. emoticon

Step up to the LOOKING GLASS!

Ok.. so I went to the grocery store the other day. I needed cukes and tomatoes. I was walking across the lot towards the building with all the huge glass windows and what did I see? This is rather funny.

I saw a reflection in the glass. The only problem is, I saw the reflection and knew it was me, but I had to do a double take (ok... so maybe it was 4 or 5 double takes). I looked so different I was absolutely amazed. I could SEE the difference in the huge glass windows!!!


My waddle was tiny. My belly overhang was SMALLER! I just couldn't believe it. I look in the mirror at home all the time and never noticed this.

Needless to say.. I was on cloud 9. I was smiling to myself (ok, an everyone I came in contact with) and just moving with a purpose through the grocery isles. I got back in my car and the first thing I did was text message my hubby at work!!! I was sooooooo excited. It was like 'WOAHHH, WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?'

Talk about having instant motivation!!! I did 95 minutes of exercise that day. lol.

I am planning on a gym day -- Sunday is a definite, Saturday is a maybe --- depending on what time I actually get home from work. The lousy gym closes at 7pm on weekends. Not good for me, but there are NONE that are open later around here. BUMMER.

Good news is, my inspection is over. I got high marks in all areas. Now, I can get back to taking care of ME more. lol... yes, it IS ALL ABOUT ME!!

Who do I believe?

My wii says I reached my goal. My scale says I have .20 lbs left to go. Hmmmm, who should I believe?

I just went to the grocery store to get some cukes and tomatoes and the most amazing thing happened. I was walking to the store from my car and usually I cringe at my reflection in the big storefront windows, well, I was absolutely AMAZED! I saw such a huge difference in my body from that window that I could NOT believe it!!!

I smiled all the way through the grocery store. I started walking with more pep and confidence in my step and the first thing I did when I got into the car was text my HUBBY!!

Then, I got home and took my puppy for a walk! I'm thinking of having hubby to meet me at the gym on his way home from work --- lol, that's if he doesn't read this blog first.

He just got his page up and running and he friended me. And all this time I thought his job was busy work all day long. Apparently he has plenty of time to set up a sparkpeople web page! LOL. He's gonna kill me if he reads this.. I'm sure he'll know I'm just picking on him.

    Hey CONGRATS. It such a small difference. You rached your goal. Contrats on geting ur husband into SP. My faince joined, just so he would get the calorie count and so forth. He never uses it though. I am slowly getting him more active. I am hoping that as I continue showing progress, he will get more involved with his own health and weightloss.

strength training rut

ok.... i am really really bad at strength training at home. for some reason.. cardio is my exercise of choice and what i do 95% of the time. I could really use help getting motivated for strength exercises and ideas on what to do to make them interesting and beneficial to me.

  emoticon do you have weights ? at my gym.. the trainer had put me on 8lb dumb bells... and, i do bicep curls and overhead shoulder exercises . they are great for toning up the arms. i tend to spend more time on the treadmill then the machines.. because right now i'm only doing 3 weight machines, dumb bells and the treadmill. i am hoping to try other machines soon at the gym :) if you think you need to tone up your arms..then probably weight / strength training would be good for you.
