Happy Friday..... TGIF!!

Interesting day today. Lost power at work so we were closed ALL NIGHT and couldn't open until 9:30 am today. Power loss killed my CMU in my work computer causing problems with the registers and assembly monitors. Assistant no showed for work... (my theory on that: no call: not show: no job!) so my opening manager for tomorrow is closing, and I am opening!!! Grrr!!! That means I will be getting up EARLY!!! Way before the butt crack of dawn... how does 2am sound to you?

My hubby said, "I guess you will not be wiiing before work tomorrow" and I said, "OH YES I AM!, I won't make it through the day if I don't!" I will do my thing from 2-2:30, shower and get ready and hit the road!

How exciting is THAT!

On the upside. I have not missed a 2x a day exercise routine in 31 days. I am getting really good at getting a high protein/fiber breakfast. I am learning to put more of my calories on breakfast and lunch and having a lighter dinner.

And the best news!!! Today I "SPREAD THE SPARK!!" I was talking ot my friend on the way home from work and we were talking about fitness and stuff -- it is getting a lot easier for me -- never thought it would, but it is!! And I started yapping away about sparkpeople -- and all the tools and info it has to offer. Now mind you, she is probably 120lbs soaking wet, lol, it's kinda funny. I think she might be getting a wii too! I talk about my wii and program all the time.

Anyway. I gotta go to bed now. I'll check up on y'all tomorrow and catch up on your doings.
Gotta be up for work in 4.5 hours! OH MY!

Sorry about work and having to go in, but I know you will get up and exercise, I can hear the determination in your blog.

Rain Rain Go Away!!!!

I am soooo sick of rain! I swear it has been raining here for forty days and forty nights! My basement is flooded. Hubby is all stressed and did I mention that I hate it when it rains LIKE THIS!

Some rain is ok. But moderation is the key to a happy healthy life, right? It took me an extra 35 minutes to get home from work tonight due to the rain. I do not like to drive in the rain - and it is even worse at night. You can't see the lines in the road. The sides are all flooded and when you hit it, it is hard to keep control. Idiots out there drive like it is a sunny summer day with no regard for others on the road. I just don't get it!

I did good today. Stayed in calorie range. Did my exercises. Work was just ok, nothing special today.

My 2.5 year old puppy got soaked when we went outside to do her 'thing'. LOL... she loves to roll around in the snow... but with all the rain she didn't need to. She is just too cute.

Well, gotta run. Gotta help hubby.

    I also would rather have rain than snow. We got close to 15 centimeters of snow overnight. And, it's cold too! :(

Awww.. puppy sounds like she had a lot of fun in the rain. :)

    It's been raining and snowing here to for like 4 days. Today it snowed, but melts the second it hits the ground. The temperature has been nice, but its been so wet. I hate it too.

A Day of Rest

Well, I didn't really do anything today... zip zero zilch. I decided I needed a day to just chill so I watched TV!! Well, I did do my exercises in the morning and tonight. I just wouldn't feel right skipping those. But I didn't work and only went out to get the car out of the way for the plow and put gas in it.

I did 10 minutes with my 3" extended step for the wii. That's a 4 minute improvement over the first time I used it. Then my knee started getting sore so I switched back to the normal step height.

I broke my record on super hula hoop too! Over 1100 spins! Not bad for the 2nd time doing 6 minutes. I find after I do the hula hoop that the arch of my feet hurt. It's like a huge ache. My body is not used to the constant hip twirling I guess.

Big meeting tomorrow so I gotta go prepare for it. Life goes on......

Rough Day

Needless to say with only 4 hours of sleep - besides me working crazy yesterday and today, hubby got up at 3am to get to train station to go to Manhattan - didn't do much for my demeanor today.

I started out ok, if you don't count the dozing off while driving TO work this morning.. lol
I did manage to exercise before going in, but as the day progressed so did my fatigue and my fuse got a little low (I managed to keep it in check, but man was I TIRED!).

Driving home was good. I stayed awake all the way and even ran into home depot for some paint samples. All the way home I told myself I could afford to NOT exercise tonight and I could just relax when I got home... after all, I deserved it!

I guess my body had a different idea. It just went on auto pilot and pulled out the wii and did my evening routine. I started it with the added 3" step... yeah, that only lasted 6.5 minutes and I was back to the normal steps. That's ok... it was a start.... maybe tomorrow I can get to 7 minutes with the added 3".

I seem to have the eating part under control as long as I eat my meals at home. I have come to learn that most of the meals at restaurants are NOT very healthy and are loaded with CALORIES!! Can you imagine THAT? Unfortunately, the food in restaurants is soooo yummy. It had better be for the calories is costs. lol. If I know I am going out to dinner, I will plan my meal ahead of time and then plan the rest of the day around that one meal... hahahaha.. seems to work well for me.

You would all get a kick out of my bedroom walls. They are painted all different colors. I keep getting samples and trying them out on the wall to see if it will look good and what colors will play well with each other... It makes for a rather interesting decor! Funny story: I was adding to my repertoire of paints on the wall when OOOPS, the mini roller fell off the holder and rolled across my rug and UNDER my bed!!! Bummer, now I guess we REALLY DO need to get a new CARPET!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I knew you'd enjoy that!

Well, I'm heading off to check on all of you before I drop dead for the night. C Y'all tomorrow!

    oh, i know how you feel about restaurants having high calories in their food(s). i told my husband last night that i can't eat out anymore.. because i want control over what i eat .. and, how many calories i'm taking in. i have one day a week .. one meal .. that i'm not sure how many calories something has... but i track it as close as possible.

you are so lucky that you have a wii. i'm trying to get one.. but, every store that is in my city is sold out :( ugh. i'm thinking of buying it off of ebay. you make the wii sound like something *i* can't live without.. hahaha :)

you should've taken a picture of your bedroom walls being all different colors and put it in your blog! ;)

    Hi Kat,
I loved the paint stories, you are so funny.
We are planning on redoing our bedroom sometime soon, but so far have only gotten to the planning stage. You are far ahead of us!
I don't have an extra step for my Wii, do you like it? I like the Step routines on there but would be concerned about making it higher. Does it feel secure?

A quick hello!

Hello! I can't stick around and play today, Just finished exercising and having dinner and need to go back to work to show my maintenance folks how to revamp a piece of equipment... I will do one with them and they will do the other 3 and I will come home and go to bed!! YAYYYY.

Makes for a long day and I probably will not get 8 hours of sleep tonight... probably only 5 or 6 (if I'm lucky) but this kind of thing rarely happens. You gotta do what you gotta do! Then I have owners and such showing up tomorrow --- to check on the new addition that is in the process of getting added on.... oh Yayyyy! So, needless to say, everything needs to be perfect!

Good News: I stayed in calorie range today AND did both my exercise routines!!!! I came home and lied down to take a power nap... and an hour later I sprung out of bed and said "I HAVE TO EXERCISE!" I feel soooo much better now.

    Sorry you have to go back to work, and that there is so much going on there. But I am so happy for you that you did so well today being healthy. The exercise will make the stress easier to deal with!
