Healthy BMI WOOHOO!

I am so stoked this week. Not only does Sunday mark the start of my favourite month... December, but this week for the first time in I don't know how many years I am officially at a healthy BMI. Woohoo!!!!!

I go on vacation soon, so I know the next few weeks will fly by.
Training was good this week. I am amazed by how much stronger I have become over the past 6 months. my goal for my vacation is not to gain. I will continue my training as I am still thinking of doing a half marathon in January, so that will help with the weight. I also will need to keep reminding my self that I have chosen this new eating lifestyle to reduce the possibility that my prediabetes will worsen to full blown diabetes. If I keep that in mind, I don't think I will have a problem while on vacation.

Start of Week 7

I just completed week 6 and will start week 7's workout tomorrow. Things have really been going well. I am enjoying the workouts and have not missed too many. I actually do have a work function Monday evening, so I think I will make that my rest day instead of Wednesday. I did take it easy in my endurance walk/jog as I did not want a repeat of last week, but the ankle has been good so far. I will take the chance and go to my zumba class. I enjoy zumba. I stay at the back of the room and move to the music doing my own thing, when I can't follow what the instructor is doing.

Week 5

I had a great training week. I had not evening functions this week and so was able to get all my training walks in as scheduled. I really enjoyed by endurance walk/jog Saturday morning. I felt so good I ran more than I walked and am now paying for it. My achilles which felt great while I ran has now tightened up, in spite of all the after run stretches I did. I need to remember no matter how great I feel, my achilles does not like excessive running. I don't think I will make my zumba class on Sunday.

three weeks

So far so good with the training. I have had to make adjustments due to work and family commitments, but I am getting in at least 3 short and 1 long session a week. It still is fun.
