Chocolate!

Friday, December 30, 2011

Well, my chocolate love got me last night. I had a piece of homemead fudge 1"x1", 2 Reeses bells, and 2 Hershey mint kisses. But the rest of the day I stayed on track so I am ok. I didn't weigh any more this morning.
Sometimes I just have to have some chocolate. emoticon

Your weight won't change over night but it does catch up with you sooner or later. Especially when you least expect it!
Time to get back on the wagon and work it off!! ;-)
Have a super New Year!

Mindlessly snacking at night!

Thursday, December 29, 2011

Well, even with Christmas my first week with SP was a good one. I lost3.4 pounds. emoticon This is going to be a life change. Not mindlessly snacking at night is the hardest for me to get under control. Seems that everyone else can snack and not gain weight. I pray the Lord will keep me strong. emoticon

Grandkids

Wednesday, December 28, 2011

emoticonI'M RAISING THE GRANDDAUGHTERS. The ex is raising the grandson, their brother. It's hard on all but we get together and have sleep overs here with Sammy. Love em all, but just couldn't take all three in. He is doing great though. Straight A's. I'm proud of him.

Steel cut oats for breakfast!

Tuesday, December 27, 2011

I am making a pan of steel cut oats this morning. They take about 30 minutes to cook the way I like them. I always add cinnamon and sometime a little vanilla. They are yummy, filling and satisfying. I also add berries, frozen if I have them. I also add 1/4 c. 25 milk and 2 tsp raw sugar. One cup of oats prepared, makes me breakfast for 5 days. A good way to start the day.

My breakfast of choice! I do "big batch" of the oatmeal too, so I have breakfast for the week. I add something different to it to "switch things up" -- fruit, yogurt, sugar free jam, peanut butter, a square of dark chocolate. Depends on my mood! Great start to a sparkin' day.

I like to make them and freeze in individual portions. Good stuff!

I love them! I do an overnight soak of a big batch and eat 3/4 cup with cinnamon and Greek yogurt throughout the week. They keep great in the fridge.

The day after Christmas

Monday, December 26, 2011

emoticonI am proud of myself. I kept on track with my Christmas dinner, (lunch) and tracked my nutrition faithfully. I was tempted to do the nibbling , snacking thing, but resisted.

Happy day after Christmas.

Way to go! Doesn't it feel fabulous. Much better feeling than the feeling you would have had by nibbling!
