day 1 of walking around the track with my son
day 1 of trying jillian michael's detox
day 1 of actually trying this food journal thing. realistically i don't have time to log it in everyday so i'm going to keep a lil notebook in my purse. some days i will log in though.

my goal for the month of may...NO SODA's...i'm starting this today too. somethings gotta give and it's time for these lbs to go back down.

i'm feeling i can conquer ANYTHING!

okay don't have to time to log in all the calories and stuff and didn't buy a journal so a quick note here:

bfast-nothing...busy morning
lunch-grilled chillen pita and shared a plate of chilli cheese fries..not the greates
dinner-slim fast
snack-maybe a 100 calorie pack of popcorn or a fiber one bar idk

-walked 2 miles with my son
-took pills for day 1 of detox
-recorded meals
-no soda's...did have a glass of lite cran-strawberry juice.

i'd give myself a 7 out of 10 today....i did exercise,i did detox,i drank NO sodas, i did record what i ate(big step), the only thing i did bad was chilli cheese fries and i'm not beating myself up....B plus day

lowest weight since...

Okay so here's the lingo key...A.T after trenton and B.T before Trenton

So my all time lowest weight in my adult years was 170 at age 18. Okay thats the ultimate goal but the long term goal. Okay,right before i got pregnant i was my B.T weight of 215 and that was using SP. Okay my son will be a year in june and i would love to be at least 215 again. So i stepped on the scale this morning and i'm at my lowest weight A.T....243.

Is it realistic to do want to lose 10lbs in a month?lets just say before march is over i reach 240...great right i'm close. So lets say by the end of april i would LOVE to be 230(i'll settle for anything under 235)...a girl can dream can't i..and strive for goals can't it. if i reach for the stars thats great but if i land on the moon i wont be dissappointed

Anywho,i'm just happy i'm at my A.T of where i am now....

hard work,dedication,WILL POWER,and exercise is def paying off

ugh so yesterday i had a bad day with food....everything non healthy i ate and then felt bad about it. i did get in a lot of exercise though and this morning the scale showed.

so today i ate great!!!....2 scrambled eggs,1 piece of dry toast,decorated the plate with strawberries on the outside of the plate and eggs and toast in the middle. along with green tea

for lunch i had a chicken salad and for dessert blackberries(((i sound like a rabbit lol))) i've had only water and tea today

now for dinner---i'm thinking baked chicken,small mac&cheese and strawberries for dessert.


i have more energy than YESTERDAY and feel proud of my accomplishments. also, i've already did my hour of cardio and it's just now 1:30. i'm not starving myself and feel good for losing weight the healthy weight.

i'm having a visual of myself june 19th at my son's 1st bday party and me in a summer dress looking GREAT and more important feeling GREAT about myself. i want to be able to run and play with my son and i think i'm off to making that happen.

1. What time did you get up this morning? 8am

2. How do you like your steak? well done

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? hmm it's been so long i can't even remember

4. What is your favorite TV show?Biggest Loser, Bad Girls Club,and Martin

whole willpower thing/frustrated!comment plz

So today I want some mac&cheese. Sounds normal right eat in moderation but well last week i got down to 247 and now i'm up to 250(i know what caused it--too many carbs don't love me). I'm ready to LOSE this weight instead of remaining the same. I thank God my weight isn't going up but i'm just ready to see some changes. i feel like i go between 252 and 247.

I've had my son almost 8 months ago and the lowest i've seen was 247. 247 flirted with me in december and i'm just ready to see 245...heck 240.i'm exercising.......taebo in the morning, burning 300 calories in the p.m. my meals are usually....green tea and a bowl of grits for bfast. dinner-baked meat and some sort of veggie dessert a glass of wine. i stop eating after 8pm so whats the problem????

I guess that mac&cheese i could eat in moderation ORRRR just go without with it. food choices shouldn't be this hard.

    I have some suggestions - are you writing down how much you eat? Also are you drinking any calories?

Also remember to just keep going - since you are doing the right thing the weight will come off sometimes it just takes its time you are probably buildig muscle and losing fat - emoticon

    I know how you feel too. Sometimes a week before my cycle I gain weight or the scale does not move, I have stopped weighing at those times and just try to be patient. I watch Dr Oz, very informative :) love his tips on weight loss.

    I'm fighting not losing either...it appears for me, my calories are too low. Yesterday alone I burned over 1500 calories and that's probably all I took in. I am working on increasing mine a couple of hundred and seeing how it goes.

    You could make a homemade Mac & Cheese that's lower in carbs, and guilt-free if you're interested.

Start with whole wheat pasta, or at least fiber-added pasta.
Use half pasta and half cauliflower.

Then make your sauce with low fat milk. Use half low fat cheese and half strong, flavorful cheese like extra sharp cheddar and Parmseano Reggiano.

It's much lower in calories than traditional Mac & cheese, and really tasty.

    I know how you feel. When the scale doesn't move it is really frustrating. Have you tried mixing up your workout routine. Some of the experts say that after awhile your body can get used to the same workout as well as the same diet. If you are doing 30 minutes, try adding on another 10 minutes. Or add jumping rope for 5 min. I seem to really be on the jump rope kick lately. A SP article I read (it's a link on Detroit Diva page) says that 10 min of jumping rope is equivalent to 30 min of jogging. Also measure yourself once or twice a month. Often the measuring tape will show inches lost even when the scale doesn't move! Keep on keepin on and the results WILL show!! emoticon

    I know how you feel. I love Mac&Cheese, and all other carbs, but carbs don't love me! I do have Mac&Cheese on occasion.

I do watch Dr. Oz. I actually just turned it on.
