Day 2 Cleanse - Shakeology

Quick followup on Day 2 of the cleanse (post 3 later, busy day).

Day 2 was WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY better than 1, because I really was not focused on not be able to eat the food I wanted too. The shakes have been filling to my appetite! I even took 1/2 cup of fruit, a banana and added to the shake itself, it was very tasteful.

Blender is a necessity, first day I didnt have one, and it was hard to swallow, literally, it was lumpy. LOL But I sucked it day.

I went to Walmart and bought pre-packaged salad that was great for my dinner. I made sure to measure out the cups of salad and chicken, and of course salad dressing.

I actually might continue drinking Shakeology or GNC shake, which is way cheaper (Whey Protein) as meal replacements throughout the rest of my Insanity program. I will post my Day 3 results later, and my beginning and day 3 measurements and weight.

I recorded day 1 on paper, and I need to find it to let you guys know my results. TTYL

Oh, instead of the 1 cup of Shakeology I added more milk so it ended up being a 160z shake/smoothie. Its DELICIOUS!!

FYI - I did buy the Shakeology Cleanse off Ebay (Buy Now) for a great reduced price.

    Thanks for heads up! I will use it to lead me to getting back on track to eating more healthy.

I have already started cooking healthy meals in the home. Trying to get hubby to get more fit. Former Marine turned against PT. LOL

    Just a word of caution, Cleanses on the whole can be dangerous and a waste of money becuase once you start eating normally you will gain everything back. emoticon

Day 1 - Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse

I must be crazy!
Ok, it has hit me that I really cant eat for the next 3 days.
I mean 3 shakes a day, 2 Green Tea a day, and 2 snacks - 1/2 cup fruit. UGH!!!!

This is harder than I thought. I am only 14 hours into my day, and I am dreading starting this cleanse - LOL. I have dive into my pistachios - 1 handful. I had to give myself a talk to suck it up and stay focus on the end result. I will continue to do the Recovery works, stay busy all weekend to keep me occupied.

But my mind keeps drifting to what I am giving up over the weekend, shrimp, crabs, fries, popcorn. OMG, let me stop!

Taste Analysis:
My first 2 drinks of the day have been with cold water. NOT LIKING
It tase like chocolate but somewhat bland (I forgot my mixing cup at home, lumpy)
It states: 8-10oz water, but I think w/o ice its best with up to 16oz of water to avoid that thick chocolately taste.

Tonight I will try it with skim milk and add 1/2 cup bananas
Even try it as a smoothie sometime this weekend, gotta buy new blender

I don't feel like I am starving, but since I know that the cleanse limits your eating, my mind is telling me that I am starving, but my stomach is satisified.

I can do this.

    Thanks. Nope, no sweet milk at all! I wasn't thinking bout weekend but since I started I got to finish it.

Mind over matter. It ain't gonna be easy. Just thinking bout my first meal. Lol

    Its more of a mind thing. You are used to eating so you want to eat. It would have easier I think durin the week than the weekend. But I know you are strong & focus. The end results will taste much better. Can you add silk almond milk? It will give it a better flavor. Yes, flax is good. It will keep you full. Try to stay extremly busy so the time will go by.

Recovery - Core Cardio Balance

Ok last night I felt way better dooing the workout, I even took at most 3 short breaks.
I even added Chalene's Core 20 workout for more ab work. I am feeling it!!!!
I feel great this morning, on a natural high.

Anticipating the hard core pain I will be feeling starting next week. But "I love it"

Recovery Week

So far not too bad. But I never thought I would be sweating during this workout, I am not even going full speed as all other workouts!

REcovery week is a psych-out, you think its low intensity but it moderate level of Insanity.
I am thinking this week is once again testing your comfort level then next week, shock to the body when we amp it up for Max workouts for the last month of Insanity.

Let me enjoy this week while I can. I am mixing workouts from last week (missed several).

Happy Memorial-Weekend

Been out of town since Friday for Memorial Weekend. We went to Deep Creek and it was great. We have been before but this time we had the little one, she had a blast.

In any case my food habits went to he'll. Lol but we did do a lot of walking, alot of dancing (MJ Experience), and laughing - all that I will use to justify eating like I did.
I did miss 2 days of Insanity which I will substitute in my Recovery Week.

I hope you had as much fun as we did.

Shout out to all the Service Members that sacrifice their lives for us everyday!
