My Final Insanity Stats w/ Pixs

Monday, November 19, 2012

I started at:

168lbs
Chest 39
Waist 39.5
Hips 41
Thighs 23.5

Ended at:
161lbs
Chest 36
Waist 36
Hips 39
Thighs 24

All in all I lost in every category besides Thighs. I think in that area I may have measured wrong the very first day, but who cares. I feel great and so proud to have completed this program.I feel so rewarded to have had accountability partners thru the entire process that kept me on track which made me up my game and do my best.

This program is more Mental than physical! Many will start and then quit same day or week later because its that damn tough. But, if you can get rid of the negative thoughts and don't listen to those that did quit you are already ahead of the pack. Don't get me wrong all the exercises were tough as nails but your body can do what you want it to do over time but your Mind can either set you up for Failure or Success. Get your mind right before any program and stay there mentally.

Now as for nutrition yea I fell on and off the eating healthy bandwagon week after week. But I knew what I was doing and choose to ignore it at times - no excuses just I knew I was wrong and this would hurt my results. So thats one area I score myself low, but on the positive note THIS WILL NOT STOP me.I'm more than ready to take on the next chapter with Turbofire.

Thank you all that have followed and encouraged me along my journey - it ain't over folks. I hope you stay focused on your own journey and to never give up no matter how many times you fall off track; as long as you get up thats 1 more time you rise to fight the urge to quit.

5k TONIGHT - Glow in the Dark (D.C.)

Friday, November 09, 2012

This is just a quick blog!

Its amazing how you start into a workout program how invested to you stay you start to go outside your comfort zone and signup for a 5K because it looks like fun!

For Sh!ts and giggles - Tonight a friend and I are going to run/dance/walk in DC Glow in the Dark 5K. Im just sitting here way for time to pass by to get going for tonight! We have found out there will be misters thru the route spraying paint; thousands have signed up and many more will at the gates.
Funny how I dreaded working out in the past but when I got moving I now don't want to stop. You have so much energy and interest than before.

This is TRULY a LIFESTYLE not just a trend/fad for a period of time.
FYI - Waiting to sign up for D.C. "The Color Run" May 19th. Now if you hate running and have no love for it just like me do this race in your local area. I didnt do it yet, but my friend showed me pix from last year and I'm hooked.

thats it! Holla

Update Insanity Week 5-6 (Pictures)

Friday, November 02, 2012

Realizing I haven't posted in a while.

I'm in last few days of Week6 (technically 7 but Recover week is not counted).
I have 17 days left!!!! I WANT MY SHIRT.

I try not to step on the scale often, but I did today. I woke up with a feeling that I "felt lite" so I had to do it. Down 2lbs just this week. Woohoo, small battles lead to the Final Battle I cant wait to say "Im done with this B**" and walk stage left.

Recovery Week isn't want it seems, but since you have come that far you already know there is a Shaun T. twist to do this. Be ready to sweat for about 50minutes don't skip this week either you're gonna need it for Month 2.

Week 5/6 - feel wonderful but still challenge its nice to have different warmup and circuits. Shaun T. takes it up a few notches so it will feel like you have started over but not as tough as Day 1 Month 1. Each exercise is 45 seconds long and your actual workouts are about 45-55min long. If you're like me, you try not to watch the screen because the timer is scrolling across the screen - when u watch it I swear the workout feels long than it really is - so you start cursing Shaun T.

I really wish Beachbody would add a feature that we can hide the timer. Of course he tells you have xx seconds left but at some point while working out I tune out everything b/c I'm trying CRUSH my workout. I dont need remainders how long I have in his crazy intense circuits.
Im down 2 pants sizes! BOOM Holla at cha Girl.
I have 16 days left!!

  Awesome work.
I agree with the timer. When I start and see that I have 59 mins to go, I am a little concerned (even though its just about 10 mins more than the first month). But as I progress, I try to not pay attention to the timer, though most of the time, I am so tired and just into the exercise that I involuntarily miss the timer and just keep going. And before realize it, I have finished it. :-)

Keep pushing!!!

    The progress photos are great.
emoticon I am currently going through Insanity for the second time. With regards to the timer, this is one of the few times my poor eyesight is an advantage. Without my glasses, I can only make out the yellow bar when I am more then 3-4 feet from the television. It does make a difference. Time seems to pass quicker when I can't see the seconds ticking by.
