THE SPARK - WEEK 1 - FAST BREAK

Sunday, January 24, 2010

Well, I have finally read enough of the book, where I am up to Chapter 6 and going to REFOCUS on step one and follow the book as well as use my knowledge to move forward. This book is good and is such a great read. I think more people should read it. I knew a lot of this information, but it's always good to hear it again, and from another person's point of view. Chris makes it easy to understand for everyone of any age!

My 3 Fast Break Goals are:
1. Write in my journal EVERY NIGHT! I suck at consistency! But I have always had a journal since I was young.
2. Exercise EVERYDAY...even if it's 10 minutes with the dog around the block. Again...my consistency sucks! LOL
3. Eat 3 green veggies a day...I know this makes my butt and body smaller, but for me it's one of the hardest things to do. I really don't like veggies much. I like salads, but produce here isn't always the cheapest or the freshest, so I tend to buy lots of frozen, and NZ hasn't grasped the concept that peas and corn are carbs! SO they are in most mixed veggies. But I treat green veggies like medicine...if a doctor said eat these and lose weight...wouldn't you? yea...me too...so I do.

My spark time will be through various times of the day. Mostly at night preparing for the next day since I am not at my peak in the AM! :)

To set up shop, I have most things in place, I just need to keep a stash of snacks at work and in the car...otherwise I get home and I am super hungry.

2 Rewards:
Fast Break Reward: MAC Lipglass (I need a new Barely legal and I've been putting it off)
28-Day Completion Reward: Pandora Bracelet and a bead

I am going to revamp my vision collage...I do one of these every year for personal, spiritual, my home business, and general things I'd like in my life. The whole back of my bedroom door is the poster! :) I see it in bed morning and night.

SO...that's where I stand so far. Had a nice weekend just sleeping and sleeping...my fibromyalsia has been worse lately and I think the tired came from that. I feel better, dropped some pounds whenever I sleep lots, but when I'm not tired, I'm not really hungry. Also when things are stressing me emotionally, I tend to not et much either...so I have to work on that.

Well, it's time for bed. It's Sunday night in Christchurch NZ and I work at 8 AM tomorrow, then Acupuncture, and then the gym.

Good night!
XO

    Wahoo!!

Congrats on knowing where you are and where you want to go!! It's not enough to "want to lose weight." We have to know how we plan on getting those pounds off our bodies!!

I love reading your posts... they always make me think!

I love your determination! I also love your rewards. I used to wear MAC but I started selling Avon last summer and well, you know how that goes. But another thing, I got a Chamilia bracelet for Christmas so I think a bead is going to be one of my rewards too! You also seem to be fairly focused where I'm all over the place. I wish you the best of luck in your journey emoticon

Bubble Blunder!

Thursday, January 21, 2010

So...I have been slightly addicted to "Bubble Cup"...you know the healthy drink that they put Black Pearl Tapioca beads in????? Well...after I had one, I decided to log it in..and HOLY CRAPOLA!!!! Go ahead....search in the foods for Black Pearl tapioca...they usually give me about a 1/2 cup which is 2 servings! OMG...who knew they contained more fat than a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup...are you kiddin' me???? Oh my god...that's one way to stop an addiction...HA HA....so bubbles will have to be for a treat a couple times a year only...if that!

SO...that was breakfast....HA...pretty much turned me off of lunch and made me over "FAT" for the day because all 65 g of fat were almost gone in breakfast! Who knew these jelly orb like things could be so bad for your butt!? Damn tiny Japanese people that made it popular! Should have a warning label that says...curvy German American girls stay back!

Trying not to ponder on the day gone in the crapper by breakfast mentality....but I think I'm still in shock! LOL

Consider yourself warned...LOL Bubbles are bad!
Have a great bubble-free week!

PURE JOY & GOD BLESS APPLE PRODUCTS!

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Had McDonalds for breakfast and it was yummy! As I enjoyed it, I was logging everything on my new iPhone and that just makes life so much easier! Having a tool like that is so good when you're away from home or a computer!!! God Bless Apple! But I have been saying that for years!

Had sushi for lunch and dinner because I couldn't finish my meal...it seems to be common lately. Getting all my food in during the week isn't an easy thing for me!

I took my dog Max for a nice speedy walk along the beach...I live across the street from the Pacific Ocean...and I love to see the pure joy across his mug as he runs ahead of me and then looks back to make sure I'm still there. PURE JOY!

Good Night!

sushi and a walk along the beach?? you just described my perfect day :)

I totally understand that look you are describing on Max's face... Layna does the same thing. I catch myself smiling all the time while we're walking because I am watching her having so much fun.

how many days to go til we have established routines??? is it 21 days??

I remember...

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

I never liked getting showered at the gym...I couldn't remember why...until tonight! I am way too high maintenance and would need to bring everything in my bathroom...I would have to walk through a body sized hand dryer prior to putting clothes on, and I would need to have a dry floor somewhere!!!! LOL Well...I guess it pays to try things....again...and prove to yourself why you haven't done it in the past!

Had a good workout today...ate well...but haven't got all my calories in...it's 9:57 PM and I am not going to eat anymore or else I won't sleep.

Have a great week!

I can relate to your situation. I have always hated to use public showers. When and if I use a gym I always schedule it so I can go home and clean up. It sounds like you had a wonderful day despite the shower thing. Keep up the great work.

A little sadness....and a little off track

Sunday, January 17, 2010

Well, it's been a weird week. I have been really sad and I'm not exactly sure why. I know one thing but it shouldn't be effecting me like this. I haven't been sticking to my eating plan or exercising this past week...but today I kicked myself in the booty, and even in tears all the way to the gym, I went and worked out and have been on plan all day. I am trying to figure out what to eat that I don't need a fridge or microwave...etc. Picked up some protein bars and chicken....and made some more herbal Iced tea...which I drink after I have drank my 64 oz. + of H2O.

So, while I am a perfectionist, I am trying to just be Dory and KEEP ON SWIMMING....Or Fred Durst...KEEP ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN....that song helped me on the treadmill today! LOL

have a great week everyone...Sunday night here, getting a cup of tea and my final snack and relaxing with Will N Grace which always cheers me up!

You might be experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder, this happens when we don't get enough sunlight, I don't know where you're at but I get it if I have been indoors too long. Gray skies are depressing, I hope you get a little sunshine and lots of excercise, don't give up, you can do it! emoticon

You're probably just in a funk. I had one of those in early Dec and it took a couple of weeks before I felt like my old self again. Try to stick to your plan, one foot in front of the other until it passes. Good job on getting your butt to the gym today. Be stong, you can do it. YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!
