Ok, this morning even my nutty dog thought I lost it! Stepped on the scale and saw my weight 123.4 lbs. So, when reading the INSIDIDER SECRETS, it was about the tool to calculate your BMI. I entered my #'s (123.4 lbs @ 4 ft 11 in) and low and behold -- IN THE HEALTHY ZONE!
So, why am I posting this? Well, first of all I KNOW everyone on this site "gets" how exciting that is! Secondly, the idea is if **I** can do it, then ANYTHING is possible if you put your mind to it.
When I started this journey on Feb. 7th I thought I had a pretty lofty goal (50 lb. weight loss by June 30th. Well, I didn't make that goal, but am close and KNOW I'll get there this month. That's good enough for me!
Lastly, I am sharing this because without this group and ALL the support I could NOT have achieved my goals. So, a big huge group hug and thank you.

Today was full of surprises. After 2 days of gray weather, storms, and rain today is beautiful! Great temps, moderate humidity and a gentle breeze. Ideal for walking outside, and that's exactly what I did. Lots of others had the same idea, too, so I wasn't alone! I think 2 days of being cooped up was enough.
I got back from my exhilirating, refreshing, needed-it-badly walk outside and was ready to tackle Mt. Washmore in my laundry room. **SIGH** What do I find but the laundry tub faucet is leaking like a river. DANG. Had to call the plumber. I needed a whole new faucet (GAG -- close to $500!) So guess I won't be splurging on anything this month.
So, now with my walk and my new faucet it's time to tackle the laundry and ironing. Wish someone would find a way for laundry to do itself!

Well, got rid of five . . . yes five . . . bags of clothes this weekend! Felt really good about that, because the clothes were in great conditionb, and will benefit someone who needs them! They were too big for me ( so I donated them to Goodwill AND gave some to my Mom who kows someone who will be able to use them. I just felt good paying it forward!
For me, the hidden treasure was finding not one but TWO winter coats that I will be able to use this winter! I had donated 3 winter coats and was planning on replacing them when coats came out. Now I don't have to!
Inching my way towards my goal. If anyone would have told me I would go from 170 lbs. to 128.8 lbs (current weight today) I would have laughed at them. But with the love, support and information of this site, I have truely accomplished something that I really didn't think I could! The reason I'm saying this isn't to toot my own horn,m (well . . . maybe a little . . . LOL) but to encourage anyone out there that if your mind can conceive it, your heart does believe it, you can achieve it!
Love yourself, then anything is possible. I really didn't in the beginning. I was ashamed of my weight, disgusted with the healthy consequences and didn't thik I could change. I just keep reading over and over, we have to love ourselves. Our bodies are only the vessel we have and if we love it, we'll take care of it! So, here's to loving ourselves.

I was out of town for 2 days and was concerned about being able to maintain my exercise. I wasn't able to log into Spark People (MISSED IT!) but did get acquainted with the treadmill in the hotel we stayed @. Felt good to get the exercise in.
I fully expected to have gained a lb. or 2 (but consciously ate the best I could). Surprise! I lost a lb. Yippee. I thought it was a mistake, but weighed myself 5 times and had my DH check the scale . . . nope, it was right.
So, on to a busy weekend then I'll have time to breathe come Monday.
Have a good weekend, everyone.

Milestone day today. My oldest graduated from High School. Yikes! That gave me pause to consider my life a little!
I don't know how I got old enough to have a 17 (almost 18) year old! But I have to say I feel healthier NOW than I did when he was little! So that is a definitely bonus.
I am proud that he has graduated and plans to go on. He is interested in culinary arts, so is going to be attending a local tech school in the Fall.
**SIGH** these kids grow up too darn fast!
