Why Bush was so bad at the end of his term.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

Some people aren't aware of all of this. Don't just skim over this,
please read it slowly and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it out.

The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was
actually January 3, 2007... the day the Democrats took over the House
of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th

The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first
time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy
that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this:
January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and
the Congress. At the time:

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%

George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of
Remember the day...

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House
Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate
Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of
the economy?

Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6
TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and
Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in
2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac?
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress
So when someone tries to blame Bush..

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and
the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 &
2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.
In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused
them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough
on spending increases.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush
entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running
until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a
massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that
very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he
signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the
last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five
years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that,
Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes
Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a
nutshell, what Obama is saying is "I inherited a deficit that I voted
for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January

There is no way this will be widely publicized unless each of us sends
it on!

Wasn't This US??

A little house with three bedrooms,

one bathroom and one car on the street.

A mower that you had to push

to make the grass look neat.

In the kitchen on the wall

we only had one phone,

And no need for recording things,

someone was always home.

We only had a living room

where we would congregate,

unless it was at mealtime

in the kitchen where we ate.

We had no need for family rooms

or extra rooms to dine.

When meeting as a family

those two rooms would work out fine.

We only had one TV set

and channels maybe two,

But always there was one of them

with something worth the view.

For snacks we had potato chips

that tasted like a chip.

And if you wanted flavor

there was Lipton's onion dip.

Store-bought snacks were rare because

my mother liked to cook

and nothing can compare to snacks

in Betty Crocker's book.

Weekends were for family trips

or staying home to play.

We all did things together --

even go to church to pray.

When we did our weekend trips

depending on the weather,

no one stayed at home because

we liked to be together.

Sometimes we would separate

to do things on our own,

but we knew where the others were

without our own cell phone.

Then there were the movies

with your favorite movie star,

and nothing can compare

to watching movies in your car.

Then there were the picnics

at the peak of summer season,

pack a lunch and find some trees

and never need a reason.

Get a baseball game together

with all the friends you know,

have real action playing ball --

and no game video.

Remember when the doctor

used to be the family friend,

and didn't need insurance

or a lawyer to defend?

The way that he took care of you

or what he had to do,

because he took an oath and strived

to do the best for you.

Remember going to the store

and shopping casually,

and when you went to pay for it

you used your own money?

Nothing that you had to swipe

or punch in some amount,

and remember when the cashier person

had to really count?

The milkman used to go

from door to door,

And it was just a few cents more

than going to the store.

There was a time when mailed letters

came right to your door,

without a lot of junk mail ads

sent out by every store.

The mailman knew each house by name

and knew where it was sent;

there were not loads of mail addressed

to "present occupant."

There was a time when just one glance

was all that it would take,

and you would know the kind of car,

the model and the make.

They didn't look like turtles

trying to squeeze out every mile;

they were streamlined, white walls, fins

and really had some style.

One time the music that you played

whenever you would jive,

was from a vinyl, big-holed record

called a forty-five.

The record player had a post

to keep them all in line

and then the records would drop down

and play one at a time.

Oh sure, we had our problems then,

just like we do today

and always we were striving,

trying for a better way.

Oh, the simple life we lived

still seems like so much fun,

how can you explain a game,

just kick the can and run?

And why would boys put baseball cards

between bicycle spokes

and for a nickel, red machines

had little bottled Cokes?

This life seemed so much easier

and slower in some ways.

I love the new technology

but I sure do miss those days.

So time moves on and so do we

and nothing stays the same,

but I sure love to reminisce

and walk down memory lane.

Thanks for the memories. Except for kick the can, all of these events were part of my childhood. I do remember my mother informing me during my junior year in high school that one weekend a month was to be "family time" and I was expected to participate.

Mitt Romney info jimbo

Saturday, May 19, 2012

This is sooo incredible, this man is truly very generous! How many people would do this?

This article can be verified at www.snopes.com. It is completely true. I'd
suggest you read the Snopes website for the additional comments about Romney:

Whether you like Romney or not, this story is very revealing.
Sometimes, this facet of Romney's personality isn't so subtle.

In July, 1996, the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain
Capital, had disappeared. She had attended a rave party in New York
City and gotten high on ecstasy.

Three days later, her distraught father had no idea where she was, and Romney took immediate action.

He closed down the entire firm and asked all 30 partners and employees to
fly to New York to help find Gay's daughter.

Romney set up a command center at the LaGuardia Marriott and hired a private detective firm to assist with the search.

He established a toll-free number for tips, coordinating the effort with the NYPD, and went through his Rolodex and called everyone Bain did business with in New York, and asked them to help find his friend's missing daughter.

Romney's accountants at Price Waterhouse Cooper put up posters on street
poles, while cashiers at a pharmacy owned by Bain put fliers in the bag of
every shopper.

Romney and the other Bain employees scoured every part of New York
and talked with everyone they could... prostitutes, drug addicts, anyone.

That day, their hunt made the evening news, which featured photos of
the girl and the Bain employees searching for her.

As a result, a teenage boy phoned in, asked if there was a reward, and then hung up abruptly.

The NYPD traced the call to a home in New Jersey, where they
found the girl in the basement, shivering and experiencing withdrawal
symptoms from a massive ecstasy dose. Doctors later said the girl
might not have survived another day.

Romney's former partner credits Mitt Romney with saving his daughter's life, saying, "It was the most amazing thing, and I'll never forget this to the day I die."

So, here's my epiphany: Mitt Romney simply can't help himself.

He sees a problem, and his mind immediately sets to work solving it, sometimes consciously, and sometimes not-so-consciously.

He doesn't do it for self-aggrandizement, or for personal gain. He does it because that's
just how he's wired.

Many people are unaware of the fact that when Romney was asked by his
old employer, Bill Bain, to come back to Bain & Company as CEO to
rescue the firm from bankruptcy, Romney left Bain Capital to work at
Bain & Company for an annual salary of one dollar.

When Romney went
to the rescue of the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, he accepted no salary
for three years, and wouldn't use an expense account. He also accepted
no salary as Governor of Massachusetts.

Character counts!

The media and Obama re-election machine will focus
on Romney's wealth and the immorality of it, as they see it, but Romney is
a man who uses his wealth to bless and to make this world a better place.

Let's get this message out because it is not likely that the media will do

No Bibles at Walter Reed Hospital?????

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Doesn’t anyone SEE what’s happening?
Doesn’t anyone CARE?

This is TRUE.
If you doubt it, just Google “SNOPES.COM” and query “WALTER REED HOSPITAL BANS BIBLE”

The soldiers who wake up in Walter Reed Medical Center are in Maryland --not communist China . But under the Navy's new rules, they may not know the difference!
After months of peeling away the military's core values, Obama's army is on the move, and this time, it has a high-value target: the Bible.
In a memo obtained by F.R.C. (Family Research Council), Navy officials have announced that "no religious items (including Bibles, reading material, and/or artifacts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit."
The new orders are buried in a four-page document about patient care, which an Army officer forwarded to us in disbelief. Effective immediately, families, friends, and even pastors will have to check their beliefs at the door to visit one of the largest military hospitals in the United States .

Last night, after we circulated the memo to leaders on the Hill, an outraged Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) took to the House floor and blasted the policy. "Mr. Speaker, these military men and women who are recovering at Walter Reed and Bethesda have given their all for America ... They've defended and taken an oath to the Constitution, and here they are:

The people that come to visit them can't bring a religious artifact? They can't bring a Bible? ...A priest can't walk in and offer communion to a patient who might be on their deathbed because it's prohibited in this memo from the Department of the Navy?"

This is Obama's military, where homosexuality is celebrated and Christianity is censored; where witches are financed and crosses are scorned; and Bibles are banned; where same-sex "weddings" are encouraged but international charity is not. After three years of ideological warfare, the administration's intent is clear: to disarm the military of its biggest weapon. Faith.
Regardless of President Obama's agenda, there is absolutely nothing in the Constitution that empowers the government to stop family members from giving Bibles or crosses to their loved ones. And from a PR standpoint, I'm not sure the best way to boost approval ratings is by denying comfort to wounded warriors. Unfortunately for our troops, who have endured so much turmoil under the Obama administration, this is another blow. Hopefully, with the help of Congressman King and others, it's only a temporary one.

Americans, shout out about this one!!!!!

I CARE! I'm also am amazed at this. It's so hard for me to believe it's come to this. What is so amazing is that in today's Navy, where tolerance is "in", they pick and choose what they want to be tolerant about and what they do not.

Thank you for spreading the news about this shameful development.
