i'm so scattered and unfocused i'm surprised i've actually managed to lose 3.75" in the last 3 weeks.
I'm still without a car from the accident in april, but i hope to have that remedied VERY soon.
Huz has work again. He's working at a local lobster pound. it's better than nothing and pay is decent. not enough for everything, but we'll get by.
I hope y'all are staying cool. it got up to 92 today here where i'm at in maine. however, we've only got 2 ceiling fans and windows for cooling off the house. which has been a steady 84-87 degrees depending if you're on the first or second floor.

^_^ a bit of silly for saturday morning.
So, i stepped on the scale this morning. i'm not surprised. it was a pretty ugly scene. but with all the stress of moving back in november, huz's lost job mid march (with no unemployment benefits) i'm a damned mess.
But i've decided to get back on the bandwagon today.
amazingly, the horrid edema in my legs has gone down significantly! i can SEE my ankles! (or rather i could when i got up at 8am -.-)
so i'm gonna try my hardest to get back under 200lbs, and back into my smaller clothes for summer time- cuz i can't afford to buy anything.
Since the last posting, my jewelry biz is doing marginally better. i've got my own website now -

and as of yesterday, i'll have some of my pieces on consignment at a local formal wear shop. a bit of exciting news!
also, we did move- we're in maine. beautiful here- but a bit cold still- even for the beginning of may. *sigh*

So i had a post going, clicked something and POOF! ugh!
I'm alive.. not doing much these days.. i'm just not in the 'groove' .. i'm feeling a bit defeated. My get up and go, has got up and gone!

ns this is my booth. All money earned will be going to our moving fund. we REALLY are trying to get our own place, but saving up the money hasn't been easy. we've taken a trip about once a month to Maine to see the area we're looking at, or looking at houses. it's not a cheap trip.
Anyway.. anyone local to the Auburn, NH area wanna buddy up and kick my squishy tush back into gear?

Been super busy, and have been meaning to post, but time gets away from me, and really, how many blogs and other things can one person keep up with? LOL!
The Huz got work in the field with the FP company that called him back in april. he's been working there now going on 4 weeks. Loves the work. it came right back to him after a bit. it'd been something like 15 years i think he said since he'd worked as a sprinkler fitter? anyway.. we're on our way to getting on our feet.
I've been working out more consistently. Did Zumba for the Wii again today, and i didn't keel over or feel like i was going to! so, all my other exercising..wii fit plus and golds cardio gym did the trick to getting my body back to being able to work out harder!
I've also officially quit smoking.. yeah again. it's been a week. and i've not asked for one or gone back. there really wasn't any point in keeping on smoking anyway.. i was only having one or two in the evening and by the end of the pack they were stale :-p blech! so i just said i quit. after my last pack was gone, didn't have another one. Cold turkey. Flipped the switch off. ;)
Working on digital items still. currently a charity collab for tornado relief in the areas that were recently pummeled in the mid-southern states. that will be available for purchase at www.ivyscraps.com in about a week's time.
well break time is over. back to design.

Ok so in a little over a month's time, DH got a job.. it's a paycheck and he's glad on that front..
Yesterday i had an interview for server position at Olive Garden. It went well, 2nd interview with the GM is Saturday..which i now think is just a formality..but i'm trying HARD to not count my chickens before they're hatched KWIM? But another reason i think things went well, is that i was asked if i'd be available for training that starts monday morning. Hmm.. well i'll have to do a few tricks to arrange school drop offs but yeah.. so 2 days until i find out for sure!
I've also completed a bartender's course and got my certificate. my TIPS training is in 2 weeks. May 14th. If i'm hired on at Olive Garden, i'll see what my schedule is like and if time allows, i'll throw in for a PT gig as a bartender. Though that'll leave me absolutely NO time for art/design.. but it will help me lose weight. ^_^ Last time i was working OOH i got back down to 140lbs! So, i know i can do it..it's just having the right motivation!
DH Also got a call from the biggest Fire Protection company in ME a couple days ago. Wanted to know if he was working, etc. I took the call, told them yes, but when you've been out of work for nearly 2 years you take the first thing that comes up even if it's not your field of choice. The gentleman could understand that pov. ANYWAY, phone conference is friday afternoon, and will proceed from there.
i'll have to put in notice at DSS about our employment soon. i'm waiting until after DH's first check to notify them of his employment.. i'll do the same after my first check to report our income. i'm positive we'll lose benefits ..but really i'm ok with that. if we can survive on our own, then awesome!
So, i think that about sums up the last month of life here..lol!
It FEELS like things are looking up. But i'm not that blindly optimistic. lol.
