We have the ICK

Thursday, October 18, 2012

The whole family is sick. Even the baby. I do not have the energy to workout or cook. And because I used all my pto for my maternity leave I have to go to work. It is really hard to stay motivated. I just want to get take out and climb up in bed.

It is so COLD in my office!

Thursday, October 11, 2012

The weather has finally changed and it is COLD! I need to think up some good indoor exercises, as the rain is suppose to start tomorrow... I did start the 28-day challenge but I will still need to come up with some more cardio. On the plus side the air conditioning is still on at work and I bet I am burning tons of calories trying to stay warm!

I don't know why

Tuesday, October 09, 2012

I hate the weekend. I do soooooo good all week. Never miss a workout, have tons of willpower, make all the right choices, then the weekend comes around - GRRRRRRRR.
*Epic Fail*
My husband wants fast food on my way home from work
I cook a big family breakfast and dinner
homemade cookies with the kids
spent all my time cooking, cleaning and playing = no work out
AND the baby now wakes up every morning at 4 am = 4 hrs of sleep ( I don't get home until 11 pm)

Oh wait I do know why

It's OK, doesn't sound like an epic fail to me. But if you know that you'll face certain challenges on the weekends, you can plan for them. Like if your husband wants fast food, doesn't mean you have to have it, or you can try to order something lower cal from the menu. I find it helpful to cut myself a LITTLE slack on the weekends. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and if you expect to be perfect every single day, you're setting yourself up to get frustrated. Nobody's perfect! Keep making improvements and you'll get there!
