Week 2 blog challenge...Do you decorate for Christmas?

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

Our blog for this week's BSG challenge is to answer the following questions: Do you like to decorate for the holidays? Are you a minimalist with your decorating, if you decorate or do you go all out and try to outdo your neighbors?

I used to love to decorate. But, for the past 3 years, I put it off until the last minute. Not sure why. Never did decorate the outside...but, usually do a tree and small things around in rooms.

Oh....need to get started............

This is the first year my husband and I have put up Christmas/ Yule decorations. (We've been married over 11 years.) We put up a tree in the living room. It consists of fake 5' tree, 1 pack of lights, 1 tree-top star. That's it. No ornaments of any kind.
LIke I said, this is our first year of doing decorations. Usually we just travel for the holiday (my parents' house) and put up their decorations. We're still travelling and will put up their decorations this weekend, but it's nice to have our own little tree. I like how it brightens the room.

Sometimes it's OK to just do what we can do! Decorate where you can, but if it's gonna cause more problems than it's worth - don't do it!

No grands this year, so no cooking, baking, decorating or shopping. I've already saved a small fortune.

I'll join the club . . . not Bah Humbug, but not in the mood to decorate. Will do baking this weekend.

Have a happy, healthy holiday and new year!

Accomplishments/Goals

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

A & I team blog....it's the 4th quarter of the year what have you accomplished? What do hope to accomplish before the end of the year?

Sometimes I feel I haven't accomplished much...but, then...Hey...I'm still here and plugging away at being healthier. That's a big one for me! I'm a size smaller, have more energy and my emotional state is better.

Goals to the end of the year? To maintain this weight or lose even more. Continue to build up my strength and find even more peace of mind...and see more progress in my organization/de-cluttering projects.

Sounds a lot like my goals. I've been tackling autumn inside work, then have to add things like repaint the ceiling over the shower stall! It's a cluttered mess right now again ... trying to focus on weight, eating and stuff to do keeps a gal busy. Hope all your dreams come true.
