I am officially in my C25K training. Saturday morning I started out with a walk with DH. Since I had downloaded a C25K program onto an MP3 player Friday, I decided to see what it was all about. We got to the track and I just started walking to the program. I left DH in the wind. It is a small, mulch covered track. I don't particularly like it because I really have to watch my step since it is uneven in many places. By the third trip around DH had sat on a bench.
I kept walking, ran when the program said run, walked when it said walk. It took six trips around to track to complete the first program.
Monday morning: I got up early to complete the walk. By the time I had completed the program, parents were dropping kids off to school in front of the track. Rather than get caught up in the traffic and confusion, I decided to walk and wait until school started. Another four trips around the track.
In all, I completed 5.12 miles, walking/running. Wednesday I will do the final day of my first week of training.
Now I'm off to the Monday morning flea market. More walking but this time much slower.
