Today is going to be a good day!

There are so many reasons it's a good day.
Today is a day off after working 12 hours Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Today I was supposed to report for Jury Duty but when I called the recording said call back Monday afternoon. Yes!
Today I got one hour of heavy cleaning done already.
Today I put on some new workout clothes and they make me look so good.
Today a good friend from where I used to live will come to visit.
Today I'm wearing my pedometer.
Today I lost my pedometer but found it again.
Today I commit to 10K steps per day. I have some steps to make up since I lost my pedometer.
Today I'm about 50 points away from a 10K trophy for SparkPoints.
Today I really wish those were Spark FITNESS points.

Today I decided to spend less time trying to get 100 SparkPoints a day and more time going for my 10K steps per day!

Ok, I haven't been myself the last couple of days since I almost fell flat on my face. Luckily, the door caught my head so I didn't hit my face! I must have fell on my hand too because my wrist hurt. My knee hurt too so I guess I hit that too. It all happened so fast!

Today is my day off from work and I feel great! I have been hearing from some SP blogs about Exercise TV so today I checked it out and I am so loving it! I think I could work out with it all day! I'm so glad we're getting an all day rain because I was going to go buy some workout DVDs. No need now thanks to what I've seen on Exercise TV and U-tube!

    I am so glad you are feeling better. Dont over do it wit the excercidse tv. I have had to put off the gym untl my Christmas Vava starts. I get two weeks off. I am so exhausted that I just cant do it. It is ok though becasue I am still eating properly and not gainig weight :-)

    I'm glad you were injured more severely....just take it easy and make sure you watch for any after effects...especially since you hit your head....

I'm glad you found out about Fit Tv...I have it here and there is always something to watch (or record).....

Followup on my trip and fall

I have been sitting here all day with pain in my neck getting worse and worse. I wish I hadn't volunteered to work 10 hour shifts.

I have 1-1/2 more hours to go on my shift. I took an antiinflammatory about 30 minutes ago and what do you know, the pain is subsiding. Hope to be back to normal soon.

The temperature is dropping. Earlier it was 84 degrees and I was sweating bullets. At 3:45 it is down to 82. Tomorrow the high is only expected at 70.

I'm sending sunshine to everyone who is having a hard time with snow, rain, ice, blizzards, etc.

I gained 2 pounds but I'm not mad!

I had my quarterly check-up with my physician today. The scale showed I gained two pounds. I little disappointed but I got over it real fast. Considering I quit smoking 6 weeks ago, I actually thought I did okay. Since I'm over the initial muchies phase, I can do nothing but continue with my goal to lose 20 pounds, then set another goal.

Interestingly, even though the scale said I gained, I feel good. My clothes seem to fit better.

My plan, work a little harder, drink more water. Next time, I won't have an excuse!

    It could be water, muscle, or just leftover from whatever you ate last - don't sweat it! You've done the right thing for your body by quitting, and with the healthy eating and exercise tracking here on the site I know it'll just be a VERY temporary weight gain. The most important thing is that you feel good, which you do - and if your clothes fit better, then you KNOW you've lost where it counts! Congrats!

    i quit smoking back in january and gained 11 pounds. 2 pounds is great! congrats on quitting and sticking with it. it's not an easy thing to do! emoticon

    emoticon on emoticon Paula you have a lot to be proud of!!!! The real key is measuring how you feel & if your clothes fit looser, than that's a sign you may be builing muscle (which weighs more than fat)!! Keep up the great work b/c you giving up smoking as added years to your life already!
