Making an Avie from Madam Malkin's site

Friday, September 13, 2013

www.folhavitoria.com.br/malkins/doll
maker/en/index.php?target=doll

Do you have trouble getting your avie from the Madam Malkin site to your computer.

After I create my avie, I don't put the mouse over the picture to save it like in some situations. Do you see the little picture of the disc by the picture of the avie? There is a picture of a blank white paper, picture of a disc and a picture of an 'X'.

Click the disc (the middle picture). That will pull up a long box at the bottom of the page. There should be an arrow by the word 'save', click that and click 'save as'. That will make a box at the top (or at least on my computer it will be at the top. It will be the same box you get when saving anything on your computer, but it will say it is saving in 'GIF', don't click that, look at the end and see another arrow that pulls down the 'All Files' line, click on that and name the picture.

Walking Blog

Wednesday, September 04, 2013

Okay, for a team I'm on we are to do a blog about our walk for the day. I don't walk outside so my blog will be about my walk on the treadmill. ..... not that interesting, I'm afraid.

I set my timer for a 5 min warm up, then after that went off I set it for a 10 min walk, the a 5 min cool down. Lately my foot has been hurting after about that much time...actually it is where the big toe connects to the foot, by the bone. I'm going to see the doctor when my DH goes for his appt.

So, this is about all I see when I walk

This was the commercial with Flo for I believe Progressive Ins.

and looking straight ahead is the door

That strip of white on the door says 'The Door - Das Büro' I used to study German and still have a bunch of tags around the house. Next to the door is DH closet....or one of them, we each have two closets with parapanelia (I'm sure that isn't spelled right, but it didn't come up on spell check) as well as clothes. We have some left over clothes here in the den and in or bedroom. After all I do have to keep my fat clothes and skinny clothes.

Well, that's it. Sorry it wasn't very interesting.

Now if i could create my dream walk it would be to hike in Ireland. It's a pretty country plus, I like the accent.

The Kerry Way is a long-distance trail in County Kerry, Ireland. It is a 214-kilometre (133-mile) long circular trail that begins and ends in Killarney.

www.bamjam.net/Ireland/Kerry.html

One problem....my treadmill doesn't face the computer so I can't do any youtubes. The door is straight ahead and the computer is on the desk at the back of the treadmill. Hump!!! Need to redesign the room.

I think you are awesome!! emoticon emoticon emoticon When I have to walk inside, I jam out oldies music and I also go to youtube. They have some great Leslie Sansone walking videos downloaded on there. They also have walking videos with really cool backgrounds of different places. Just google "virtual walks on youtube", and something should come up. I really wanted to go to the beach the other night, hee hee (with my husband being ill), and I found this great walk along the beach. It really lifted my spirits. I hope this link comes through. I can sparkmail it to you if it doesn't. But check around youtube. Lots of scenery and walking videos that are longer too. We can do it! emoticon emoticon

The Kerry Way sounds fabulous. I'm off to google about it. Maybe there are pictures. Congrats on your walking. I know sometimes walking on the treadmil is boring, that's why so many people watch TV or read while doing it. But the point is....you're doing it. emoticon emoticon emoticon

A poster of Ireland scenery would be great. A suggestion I would have for you for variety is to get some of Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs. They are great and I don't get bored.

There are videos of walks that you could rent or borrow from the library. I walk on a treadmill when the weather doesn't allow walking outdoors and I read while I walk.

Actually, it is not bad. For instance, I didn't know you wanted to learn German and have labels throughout your home. Not everybody does that! emoticon AND it takes creativity to talk about your walks indoors and taking photos of your TV show AND you completed your assignment too. How great is that!! emoticon emoticon

Love, Chelsea

Now I feel that I need to make a blog about my morning workout - in which the television is also a major feature! LOL - I love that idea, I just might have to do it.

Story Ideas

Sunday, August 25, 2013

For anyone who writes stories, here are some ideas.

How would history be changed if Lincoln hadn't died.

What if the Titanic hadn't sunk and people died? Who on there of importance could have made a difference?

What if Hitler hadn't become what he was and he stayed a paper hanger (or I think that is what he was) or
What if Germany hadn't lose the war?

What if we didn't have the Boston Tea Party? What would America be like?

And worse....What if Jesus had taken Satan up on his offer to accept all the kingdoms Satan offered him (so he wouldn't do God's will)?...I know that would never have happened, but just for a story idea, remember.

Just some story ideas to think about.

Any other ideas you can think of?

Always fun to have new ideas to contemplate! There is a book I read this past year on that idea that Lincoln wasn't assassinated. It's actually pretty interesting - you might enjoy it. The book is called The Impeachment of Abraham Lincoln.

I feel bad that I've been totally silent on the writing team - but life has gotten away from me, perhaps the next week or so will find me capturing some control back again emoticon

Take care Court - I LOVE seeing what goes on in your neck of the woods!

Very interesting thoughts, the kind that leads to stories with parallel dimensions, a place that seems similar, but has taken a different route.

    I. Think of things like that sometimes. What would my path be if become a full time artist not a writer... Would I miss certain lessons by working working be more unhappy?? Or cretain friends I meet would I meet them in different places in a alternative ( different time dimsion) Realm????? emoticon

As for story ideas I have one, on NCIS where the lady director Jenny is killed --- what would that be if Jenny is around and I'm her cusion get a reserach job at NCIS. ( my sister passed away ( murder) long time ago so sometimes I miss my sister and wonder what would be doing as sisters today.. Would I have a job as a college professor or something else.) emoticon

It fun to explore different ideas.. There a book on if vikings have taken over united states.... Or if JFK /martin luther king jr still alive..... emoticon

You are very creative today, between the YouTube videos and this! emoticon I am not very creative right now.... emoticon But one idea that comes to mind is what if the book 1984 had happened the way the book described life, our world? emoticon

Have a great week!! emoticon Chelsea
