Frustrated, Mad, Perturbed...you name it!

Monday, December 14, 2009

I feel like running away and living by myself. That is the only way I will be able to eat healthy. Now that my mom lives with us, she has wants (in the food category), that I find tempting. I don't have much in the line of will power.

She asked for a box of cup cakes the other day. Now she wants a 5 lb box of chocolates. We use to get them every year at Christmas, when I was a kid up north.

How can I eat healthy with people who don't care are tempting me.

I don't have anyone who will pull rank and make me do my exercises. Okay, I'm a grown up and should be able to make myself do them, but I don't.

I make my mom do her exercises, after much argument, buat can't make myself do any unless I'm trying to do a team challenge. I use to do about an hour of exercises a day, now I'm lucky to get 10 min in.

I'm very frutstrated right now because she just asked for the candy. Maybe I should have waited a while before typing this blog, but then I probably would have cooled off and it wuld have never been typed.

I can't fit into my jeans, still. Tried to put a pair on before going out today, couldn't button them.

To think, in April I weighed 95 lbs, then went up to Ohio to help my mom pack up and move down here. I lost all momentum to exercise. ( I didn't have my equipment up there). Forget about eating healthy.

Now I weight around 110. I'm only 4'8", so don't think that is a good weight. When you can't button your pants, that is a bad weight.

I guess it is really the inches, not the weight. Most of the inches are in my hips. I feel fat, fat, fat.

Type it out instead of fuming about a problem.

My mom has gets around on a walker but sometimes needs help out of her chair, which is a chair that lifts her up, but I still have to opporate the remote. She wouldn't be able to keep the candy any where where she can get to it herself. She would just complain about having to get it herself. Thanks anyhow.

I can really feel your pain, my dear ! I can't have anything tempting around
either ! Can't your mom hide them somewhere that only she would know where
they are ? It would make it a whole lot better for you ! Try with all your might
to keep it out of your mind ! Good luck to you.....and keep in touch with us !!

Wow... that is very frustrating. I cannot have food like that in my house either. I just have no control. Can she keep this bad food in her own area so you are not tempted? (not that your mom probalby needs to eat a 5lb box of candy by herself anyway...nobody does).

Today, I challenge you to do 30 minutes of exercise. Report to me when you are finished :).

MIA

Thursday, September 24, 2009

I haven't been on SP as much as I use to when I first joined, or should I say, since I join Facebook.
The time I use to put into exercise, I find I'm on farmTown plowing, planting and harvesting. Or, I'm in Yoville doing coin runs or whatever.
Just pure lazy.
I've already had a bowl of ice cream, Ritz crackers, Dr. P. and York Peppermint Patty. Sure, I did have food...a sloppy joe sandwich.
My jeans fit tight, at least the ones I can get into.
I liked when we had individual challenges, someone would post something to your page to do something. A team would have fruit/veggie challenges for the week, etc.
Well, I'll see how well I do this go round.
We're going to Taco Bell for supper.

I can relate to being addicted to FB.....there's just too many games there to get
involved with ! But somehow you have to take time for your health and well
being also. FB will always be there, but your health may not ! And having
challenges for the teams does help a lot with getting one's motivation really
going ! So don't give up !!!

I can't wait to get through my Exercises, and walking. Then home to log into my Surveys then Sparkmail before getting into FT and FV. Now I have found Egg Buddies. These games are so addictive.
Last night I was so annoyed that my son wanted on for 10 mins that turned out to be 90 incase my crops died. How sad is that.

I do know what you mean. I am so addicted to FB, FarmTown, FarmVille, and YoVille. It keeps me from really spending the time on SP as I once did. Meaning I'm not near as motivated as I once was. Hopefully Saturday will change that, as I'm going to the SP Convention and looking forward to meeting other Sparkers and getting pumped full of motivation. emoticon

It's easy to let oneself get distracted. After you invest however much time on farmTown or Yoville, what do you have to show for it?

When I first joined SP, I spent so much time earning points for articles and the like, it cut into my exercise. But why was I here? Improving my health isn't optional, for me, anyway. So I created a personal goal to complete my exercise before logging on to the internet. That helped remind me of my priorities.

If you look at my page and my blogs, you'll realize you can't afford to carry excess weight into your 50s, and in your 60s it takes a super-human effort to work off the weight. It's expected that we acquire some wisdom as we age, because we'll need it to retain mastery of our lives.

I'm right there with you. I'm eating a mini hershey's bar right now and drinking an Orange Crush (first choice would have been Dr. Pepper or Mtn Dew, but I don't have that). I'm also addicted to FB. I played Farmtown for a while then got into Bejeweled and Mafia Wars.

I too don't have the drive to eat healthy. I like the idea of it, but just can't carry through.

What if we suggest a challenge to Tania and see if the team wants to go for it? (Bombshells)

Well hello I have a facebook team that I formed and I just found this page a month ago. I have a huge farmtown and I know what you mean it is very addicting, but we have to take are of our health before anything else. I have not seen any of the challenges you mentioned here. emoticon
