The meaning of Easter - What does it mean to you?

The meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ's victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The meaning of Easter also symbolizes the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead, if He had merely died and not been resurrected, He would have been considered just another teacher or Rabbi. However, His resurrection changed all that and gave final and irrefutable proof that He was really the Son of God and that He had conquered death once and for all.

Courti, I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, I realize that all people don't know or agree with that & that while I may be able to change their minds, there's no guarantee of that.

Hope you have a wonderful Easter!

This site is one of those excellent 'go to' sites, Courti. Another name for 'trapped' tendons, whether they're shoulder, knee, elbow, hip, hand... etc., is Bursitis. I think it's trapped air. Anyway, this site is like having your very own private doctor in the house!! LOL!!

here Courti- take a look at this for the "official name" for trapped tendons. Maybe this will help in your search!

It's called: Subacromial Impingement- for trapped tendons in the shoulder- subacromial = shoulder, so yours must be some kind of impingement of the hand?

Oh! Also take a look at your doctor's receipt and see if they list a diagnosis code# - then you can look the code up and see what the official term is. For example, if you search on "diagnosis code 250.00" you will see that is the code for diabetes.

the doctor called it trapped 'tendon'.

my mom had a trigger finger i remember. it was her 'bird' finger too. had to put a thinging on it for so many minutes a day, supposed to straighten it out...didn't work.
my trapped tendon is in my thumb and in the side of my wrist.

it is just strage that there isn't anything online about it.

thx for input.

    From the BBC

"the pain experienced by repetitive strain injury sufferers may result from the nerve being trapped or compressed by tendons in the wrist, which are known to swell up if over-used".

Hope that helps.

Hi! I'm sorry you're suffering from this.

It sounds like it could be what's known as "trigger finger". Years ago someone pushed back my finger and afterward it felt like it was stuck whenever I tried to bend it. I had a cortisone shot put into the area and it was fixed.

I hope that helps your search.

Feel better!!!

not tendonitis...wish it was.

Tuesday, April 03, 2012

well, went to the doctor. nice guy. they took x-rays. not quite what i had hoped for...not a bad sprain or stretched tendon.

i don't have tendonitis, it was arthritis causing my fingrers on my left hand to swell and tingle.
as for the thumb and wrist..i have two trapped tendons. one in my wrist and one at the inside base of my thumb. he said he could give me a cortizone shot (big ouchie) but it would only be temporary. i need surgery to release the tendons.

without the surgery i could lose the use of my hand....DRATS!!!!

annie, i was trying to treat what i though was tendonitis for 2-monyhs then hrt my thumb a month ago..before going to doctor. maybe if i went sooner i may not have needed surgery, but i don't know. i can't use my thumb at all and pain in my wrist. i don't really have money for 2nd opinion, x-rays etc. i asked a nurse friend and she has him for her doc and trust him.
he tried to put a thumb brace on, but it straightened the thumb, couldn't stand the pain. i've got a regular brace on and put thumb on inside so not to leave it free.

Courti, do you mean you could lose the use of your hand if you don't follow through on an operation?!! That doctor sounds a bit extreme. Do you think you could get a 2nd opinion?

I love how they say prices will have to be rounded up or down...duh...like what store/manufacturer is going to round down. And oh by the way, this has the potential to increase sales tax so it is a win-win situation for everyone but the consumer.
