Slow computer

Friday, September 26, 2008

I 've decided not to keep track of my exercise on the fitness, except enough to get the sparkpoints. My computer is so slow that it takes forever to post anything. Does anyone else have that problem? Someone said it was because I have too much on SP and lots of e-mail from other screen names other than SP.
I keep track of all my exercises in a notebook and what to post on each team.
Now I have a Wii so I'll have lots more cardio.
It gets so late doing posting that I get to bed late anyhow. I don't get a chance to post on SP fitness each time I do something. At least it is all in my notebook.

Try defragging your hard drive. That usually helps a lot. Also, if you don't have are liable virus software, you might be dealing with Trojans that are slowing you down a lot.

You might consider befriending a computer geek from the local High School or the local computer shop and get them to clean up your computer for you. It shouldn't cost much and the results are tremendous. If you find a good person, they should be able to teach you how to do it yourself so you can do monthly maintenance on your computer and keep it running well.

Walk a few miles in my tennies

Thursday, August 07, 2008

I'm revising this blog about my piddily 210 minutes yesterday. After seeing what others have posted, I feel like a beginner.
I have to make a good showing on the virtual walk; I'm so far behind. I need to get closer to my partner, who is a few cities away. Besides, I have to wear off that cheesecake and milk shake from last week. lol
Also, I want to be 100 or 99lbs by the time to go to my next doctor's appt later this month. I seem to be on an upperward gain.
Now, if I can just keep my will power and not pig out when I'm with other people.
30 minutes was housecleaning...should have used the whole 210 min as housecleaning. It would be spic&span...Nah, there's no fun in that.
If anyone has digital tv, you can get On Demand, they have a lot of different exercises.

Sounds like you have strong goals. Keep smiling. It's a wonderful exercise. Treat yourself to lots of good company, walks in pretty places, fun music and that cheesecake won't have such a strong voice.

Glad you're a hummingbird.

100 lbs!!!

Saturday, July 19, 2008

I'm almost there and it isn't even August! 100 lbs. I'm exercising everyday and now eating more veggies and fruit. It's working. Yaaaay! Just 2 more lbs. Just to work on the inches now. I measured when I started all this but didn't put it down on SP. Guess I should.

Be Positive

Friday, July 18, 2008

I need to learn to be more positive about things; to be in a good attitude when things are hectic and hassled. Be kinder to my husband and not nag or be critical. I need to stop with the I..I..I..me...me...me. Make others the more important topic. Be okay with being short even if my elbows come even with some counters edges..ouch! Read books by Norman Vincent Peale.

This is the time for starting new lifestyle, eating healthy and daily exercises. Don't go back to old routines when challenges re over.

Walk the talk; be more positive than negative. emoticon

Uh Oh, scales don't work!

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

My husband said our scales needed new batteries. so, I put new batteries in, but now we can't get it to work. I like these scales as it shows our BMI.
He's still working with it, maybe he'll get it working. Hopefully. We both weigh in on Saturdays and I also weigh in on Tue for the 12-Week Challenge.

Love your page especially the beach photo. I would love to have a scale that tracked BMI and all but have always been leary of their accuracy. I had a digital scale once (a cheap one I admit) and was not very good for weighing higher weights. (Over 250).

Best of luck with you weigh ins. Sounds like you are doing an excellent job. emoticon
