BLC-16 B.L.C all team challenge Sat

Saturday, April 16, 2011

I don't think I'm going to be doing very well with the tracking food. We had mashed potatoes, chicken, dressing and biscuit. I didn't measure anything so impossible to figure calories.
I used to do so well tracking my food. I made it out for the week and followed it most of the time. Now I just can't get back into the swing.

Today is my arms/abs day and have the abs done so far.
Cardio - did the peddaler for 15 min. and a 5 min warm up. = 20 cardio

I figured out how to download my pictures for the before.

Need to work on lower abs and thighs. Also arms, but they don't show up much in the pictures.

You reminded me, I need to do that too. My first instinct is to where something that hides me...but that don't really do any good. I will try to get mine tonight and at least post by tomorrow.

BLC-16 - B.L.C.

Friday, April 15, 2011

Part of our BLC-16's first All-Team Challenge is:
B - blog our plan or anylize our day/progress each day of the challenge 4/15 - 4/18.
L - list Calories 'Bite it, you write it; Sip it, script it; every nibble, be sure to scribble.
C - cardio/strength

My plan for today is:
today is leg day for my WWoHP team. Use my Body by Jake (hip & thigh machine.
Dance for 20 min, day dream, spend time outside(which I never do) for my Middle Earth. I can dance and day dream.
50 crunches +1 min Plank for Stomach Must Go team.
20 min cardio/strength for BLC streak.
GYM 24/7 for BLC

I don't think I have a lot to do today so I should have time for all of this.

I'll try to come back this evening to post what I did get done.

I got everything done, but don't think I did very well tracking food. We had company in evening, I may have eatedn less than what I had planned. Still have to check it out.

I took before pix but now can't find them to download, stupid computer. Guess I'll have to have my sil help me.

Prayer request for sister-in-law

Monday, April 11, 2011

I just got back from my mother-in-law's house. My sister-in-law, Jill, went into her doctor’s office for results on the test she took to see if her cancer has come back.

It wasn’t good. It has come back, throughout her body and in her bones.

He gives her 3 months unless she can do something about it. They are going to do an MRI, and other test. She has to do something first before having chemo as the chemo would break her spine. Her bones are so brittle.

I know I’m not being as clear on this as I would like, it was hard to understand everything plus everyone was still upset by the time we got to the house.

Please pray for Jill. I know He answers prayers as He pulled her through her first bout with cancer and He cured 98% of Laura’s cancer. (the dil of another SP member)

We’re discussing going to Moffat in Tampa. They have a full body scan where the test here can only do part of the body at a time and would take more than one day.

Those who have had cancer may understand what I’m trying to say. Sorry if it isn’t very clear.

Jill is my husband’s youngest sister, she’s in her 50s. She comes over every Sunday to play cards with Jim. (my husband) They are very close and I consider her a sister more than sil.

Oh Courti, of course I'll pray for Jill. I pray that she will see God's plan in all of this. Of course I pray for healing, but if that's not His will, I pray for God to be glorified through her courage and faith. And I pray for peace beyond all understanding and strength to face whatever's ahead for Jill, your brother, and your family.

I will gladly stand in the gap, lifting her up in prayer! Our God knit her together in her mother's womb.. He is the Great Physician... and He loves Jill more than we can imagine... He can move mightily.. and we will pray that He does! And that He pours out His love and comfort upon Jill and her family. (((hugs)))

I am standing with my arms upraised shouting down the Gates of Heaven in prayer for ALL of you. I know it is going to be some rough weather ahead but as we believe *all things in Him are possible* let it be out constant in this.

She is a fighter because she has done it once before so let her lean on you and Jim as she picks up her armor, sword and sheild.

My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you.

Walking to Rivendell

Monday, April 04, 2011

Eonwe the wise, a Minstrel Wizard and Lyssa, a Hobbit, from Far Downs, started their journey from Bags End. Their journey to Rivendell would cover 458 miles.

They each carried backpacks, with what they felt would be needed; such as clean clothing, food, and what nots and each carried a walking stickor staff. Their weapons were dagger, sword and Eonwe's flute.

Eonwe woke early, stretched and yawned then made a fire for breakfast: mushrooms, carrots and a block of cheese. Might not sound like much, but it was nourishment.

“I’m not much of a leader, so I hope you know your way around, Eonwe. Do we have any maps?” I asked.

She searched through her backpack and pulled out a couple rolls of paper. Stretching them out I saw the Shire and all the places between to Rivendell.

“Always prepared.” I say.

We traveled through the rain, fought Trolls and even a couple Orcs.

We saw beautiful sunrises and green lush meadows spotted with daisies, slept on a ‘green floor in the wood, roofed by boughs of trees’ (taken from Éowyn Challenge.net).

Early on I thought I saw a friend further behind, we waited a couple days, but as of yet, have not seen or heard from her. She may have ventured a short cut?
I hope to hear from her.

We venture on……

Spring Challenge on M*E (Sat/Sun)

Saturday, April 02, 2011

Awaiting our Spring dance with all my friends, the Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Rangers , Wizards and fellow Hobbits. It should be a wonderous party.
(Per our Saturday Challenge in M*E team, here are my dress choices, recipe and my date for the Spring dance)

My dress choices:

My recipe:
Seedcake for Pippin
Butter Flour
Baking Powder salt
Sugar Egg
Caraway seeds

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8-inch round cake tin. Sift 2 1/2 cups of flour with 1 teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt. Cream together 4 ounces of butter and 1/2 cup of sugar. Beat 1 egg and add to the butter, then add 2 teaspoons of caraway seeds. Fold in the flour mixture, then gradually add enough milk (up to 1/2 cup) to make a smooth, thick batter. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake in the middle of the oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool 5 to 10 minutes before turning out on a cake rack.

My date will be:

Pippin (Peregrin Took)
