So I learned over the holidays that overeating doesn't feel good! Even so, life sometimes has to teach us the same lessons over again.
So this weekend I hung out with my best friend and we decided to have a couple of drinks. The only problem with this is that I haven't had anything to drink in a long time and I'm a lot smaller than the last time I did! So it apparently takes a lot less to get me more drunk than I desire.
Drunken Me decided that it would be a great idea to go to my favorite mexican restaurant. I never go there anymore and it sounded like a good plan at the time. I ended up eating a ton of chips and salsa before the meals came and then I ate my ENTIRE plate of cheese, beans and rice.
I immediately felt the familiar "I ate WAY too much" sensation. My husband, my friend and I all regretted it!
So the scale the next day said I had gone up a pound. Oh well, I figured as much. By eating right yesterday I was able to make the extra pound go away. I wasn't quite feeling well enough to exercise, so I was glad that I was able to just eat a little less than usual.
Today, I feel great! I'm getting right back into the exercise and eating RIGHT routine. I know that I feel amazing when I do it. Even if I ever crave something or feel like I just want to give up, I know I should just keep going. Not only will I let myself down, but I must remember that horrible feeling of being unhealthy.
It truly is about feeling HEALTHY, regardless of whatever size I end up being. Let's all stay healthy together.
