First day for me to really try out Sparks. I have 30+lbs to loose and have a holiday booked for June 8th. Every yr I say on Jan 1st I will start my healthy eating and diet plan and now its March and I have just started today. My problem is my husband likes to snack at nights and I like a few glasses of red wine while making dinner, with and after. Sooooo we need to change up our lifestyle. We like to socialize and wine and finger foods on the weekend are normal with company. So no more excuses. I stopped smoking with out a problem, why cant I stop eating?

well I am reading procrastination as the topic today in it I am seeing 'me'...hmmmm guess that is why I slipped yet again..... best get on the straight and narrow and do what I need to do

I am 30 pounds overweight. I commend you on your weight loss journey withall your husband's medical problems. keep at it. I just started to change my way of eating. wish me luck

Sharon: I just joined Sparkpeople and hoping to be motivated with all the information and advice but most of all from all the new friends that I know I will meet. I also have a husband tht is in and out of the hospital with early on dementia. Our lives get hectic and taking care of ourselves sometimes takes the back burner. But we have to remember if we don't stay healthy how can we take care of our loved ones. Hope to hear from you in the future. emoticon emoticon
