My Mama had daisy's growing in the lower part of our lawn when I was growing up, along with primroses -- she was an avid gardener as you are, knowing all the botanic plant names and blending them so well into a natural setting. I only wish that I had a smidgen of the talent you and she had, but I do have the same love of gardens, trees, shrubs and flowers, and all the natural beauty we have to enjoy. Also love all birds, butterflies (my current passion), most animals, and some insects. Especially trying to discourage a pesky raccoon who decided a long branch on one of my spreading Live Oaks was his day and night perch for raiding my bird feeders! I have resorted to only putting out a day's feed for the birds and chasing him off when I can. He is so funny, he climbs up the tree and out on the long limb about 20 feet and hangs there tummy down and dangles his feet over the edge watching (laughing at?) me. If I'm up to yelling, waving my arms and brandishing a broom (little use when he's 30 feet up!) he'll run from tree to tree until he makes his way beyond my property to the nearby nature preserve. That provides my sole exercise and entertainment on occasion. emoticon

Yes, there's just 'something' about daisies. Sort of reminds me of a 'fairy ring'.
