I visited this as a child on one of our family vacations. Don't remember a lot about it, but I DO remember the boat ride along the Michigan coast. I was born and raised in Michigan, left there in 1981 during an economic downturn.

This is actually called Miner's Castle. I will be there this Wednesday to visit Connie again.One year Lake Superior was about 80 degrees, totally unheard of up there!! We swam for four hours without getting out of the water. Normally, it is about 55 degrees!

Nice picture. I love it up there. My dh & dd's took me on a sunset cruise for my birthday a couple of years ago. It was such a beautiful & calm Lake Superior evening.

I visited the upper peninsula to greet my new grand daughter; I how clear the water is and all those trees. But you can keep the snow and cold up there
