The beauty of nature after an Ohio spring rain... It'll be a struggle - but if I make it - the time doesn't matter - the achievement will be great! Less than 15 days until vacation! Some days! Woo hoo - another first in the books! My first Meal Prep Sunday! Whole 30 Cauliflower Fried Rice, PF Changs CopyCat Spicy Green Beans and Teriyaki Tofu! It was a labor of love but so worth it! Thought it was really worth sharing what a week of true focus has done for me. The numbers don't lie - I've improved in EVERY category - including sleep! #fitbit I posted this on Facebook today to remind those of us still pushing for our New Years Resolutions to do something today to get closer to your goal. Then I got really excited - it's August and I'm still really focused on goals I set in January! Twelve years ago today, my everything arrived on this planet. "Fawn boy pug #2" was born in the small town of Horse Cave Kentucky to the late Minnie and Mickey Paws. What an adventure his life would be, what a blessing on my world. Happy 12th Birthday to my "Dr Loomis!" Through every windfall and famine, heartbreak and celebration - he has been my constant - so today we celebrate! Today I made my 50th new recipe of 2017 - meeting one of the goals I set for my New Years Resolution! Healthy breakfast for the win! Grilled shishito peppers and tomatoes, vegetarian breakfast sausage, egg whites and feta cheese! Forget sugary donuts, frozen waffles and plain jane eggs! My breakfast is better than yours is! haha New recipe = Fancy breakfast at my desk at work this morning! Poached eggs over steamed asparagus with a lemon vinaigrette. Made more mini frittatas last night! This time around - mushroom goat cheese! Who would have thought I would love meal prep so much! #mealprep Another awesome new breakfast! Brown rice, steamed broccoli, hummus and a poached egg. YUMM!! Here Go Steelers! #sundayfunday Easy meal prep last night - protein pasta, vegetarian meatballs, grilled vegetables and marinara sauce. Goal - 10 rounds of the scaled workout in 20 minutes! I was awake at 3:45am excited, nervous, and contemplating doing Rx (35 lb dumbbells rather than 20 lb, and toes to bar rather than knee raises - but the weight is a LOT for me) rather than scaled. Still nervous and excited but ready to slay this workout! #intheopen (1 comments) Guess who's finishing their first ever Crossfit Open tonight? Yay!!!! Bring on 17.5 baby! It was my goal just to compete. And after tonight - I will be a success! I joked that my goal was just to not be the one who took dead last in our gym. Though guess what - that's better than not competing at all! As of last week's scores I'm in the top 5 of the scaled division for our gym!
