(3 comments) Over my range by a tad, but still under my BMR, even before the exercise. Not bad for a holiday! Woo-hoo!!!!! I just landed myself a real-live, competition dance partner! YESSSS!!!!!!!!!! Been too long since I competed, and I'm so much stronger now than I was then, both in technique, and overall body strength. Visions of loveliness! Visions of loveliness! I'm not in this pic (I'm behind the camera), but this is what I spent 3 hours doing last night. I love ballroom dancing!!! I rarely bother with photos of my food, but this was so colorful and cheery that I had to share. A huge Creole tomato, fresh picked today, Mediterranean style tuna, chickpeas, with some leftover grilled veggies. Not pictured, roasted brussels sprouts. Seems like the heat is a topic today. Here's mine. But, I'm inside, celebrating my independence by gutting and cleaning. This little guy knows how to beat the heat! This week has been awesome! I'm at All Star Dance Camp, and have been dancing upwards of 5 hours a day! Besides leaning all kinds of new stuff, and refining some techniques, I've also joined a class to learn and perform an entire Tango Routine in 4 days (a total of 5 class hours)! I am so sore! But it's soooooooo good! The performance is tomorrow night. When I'm able, I'll post a link to the video. Meanwhile, here's a faithful saying (on the t-shirt in the pic)... Anyway, this was from the recent Bourbon Street Ball ballroom dance competition. My partner and I did as well as can be expected for only training together for about three months. Now comes the hard work of preparing for a much larger and more intense competition next summer. Overall, I've lost an amount in between the two items in this picture. The recent leg of my journey is about half that.
