Done! (3 comments) Kendall threw modified TRX pikes at me yesterday. Rather than start in the plank position, she had me start with my knees down; but, not touching the ground. Then, I extended my body into the pike. Challenging! But, I did it!!! 3 sets of 12 ... WooHoo! (3 comments) Base Work plan completed this morning with 45 minutes of easy running. Saw a bird I've not seen in quite some time, an American Bittern. Also, heard a bull frog. Surprised; but, unmistakable sound. #running (1 comments) Got out early to try and beat the heat ... 89 degrees at 6:30 am. Not good! And, it was windy, windy, windy! Heard a Regional Park is on fire this morning. :-( I'll leave you with a photo from the park. I've run there before; but, not today. #running (4 comments) Wednesday, my trainer asked if I'd seen any pacing improvements and I told her no. Today, the pacing improvements came. What does she know that I don't know. ;-) Excellent run this morning. #running (2 comments) had a beautifully steady run this morning. And, saw a wild "canary", a Lesser Goldfinch. (7 comments) This morning's run was a struggle from the start. Many possible factors. Stopped when guided by body to do so. Enjoyed it nonetheless. #running (2 comments) I'm repeating last week's run plan. It was peak week of the plan and I didn't work it as written with the work-related travel last week. I ran 45 easy minutes Monday and 50 easy minutes today. I am enjoying seeing the Western Kingbirds at the reservoir ... a summer visitor for us. #running (4 comments) enjoyed her run 'round the reservoir this morning (despite the chlorine exposure) and was graced by the presence of kingfishers. (2 comments) It's good to be back home and running 'round the reservoir again. This morning I saw a pair of kingfishers and also saw the green herons with their young. #running (1 comments) Up early to get the run in at sunrise, before the heat ramped up. Wonderful to be out running with birds serenading a rising sun. #running (4 comments) ran on the treadmill again this morning; but, not the same treadmill. Ran on a self-propelled one. I ran on a different treadmill as directed by Kendall. ;-) It's non-motorized and self-propelled. Much more challenging than the motorized treadmills. #running has returned to normal eating and enjoyed a wonderful 50-minute easy run this morning. (4 comments) I've returned to normal eating following a few days of protein/raw greens to address an inflammatory flare. My body shed 2% of its weight in fluid over 3 days. That is dramatic for me! I'm physically feeling MUCH better with the inflammation reined in. Ran 50 easy minutes this morning, followed by a 50 minute session with the personal trainer. #running (4 comments) finally got the promised phot of me with Andrew (my cartwheel inspiration) and Kendall (my trainer). (4 comments) got out early to beat the heat and got a 40 minute run in 'round the reservoir this morning. (5 comments) I use both the Hacker's Diet and WeightGrapher to track weight trends. Here's a graph of the past month's daily weigh ins (green diamonds). The blue line is the trend line. You can see my weight fluctuated 3+ lbs over the month. It's a weight range that I watch. Not a particular number on the scale. This is the steadiest trend data seen since entering maintenance in June 2014. I've never seen a row of identical Min./Mean./Max. data until today. Ran 50 easy minutes in the hills this morning. It was absolutely awesome! It was also the first time in nearly 26 months that I've experienced 90 continuous minutes of movement. I walked 20 minutes before I began running and another 20 minutes after the run. #running (3 comments) The weight has remained pretty close to where it was prior to the return to running in late January 2017. It is up a tad, as expected. The inflammatory flare experienced in summer 2016 is fading away. I have successfully completed another week of the McMillan Running Rebuild Fitness Plan. The upcoming week is a recovery week and will have a reduced training volume.
