A reminder of why I'm doing this... over 200 pounds in 2004... ... and white is SO not my color
In 2006 I hit my high, at about 220 pounds. Part of that was from Benign Tumors (fibroids) I lost a good5-10 pounds after a hysterectomy early 2007. But the rest was just what it looks like. Fat. Ugh. From there my husband (in picture) and I embarked on a serious effort to adhere to the South Beach Diet and lost about 30-35 pounds each.
Oh Gawwwwd..... This is around the time of my top weight in 2006, in the 218-220 range
2007 summer... things looking better. I think I am down to about 190 or something at this point
2009 am down to about 183 now. Yay! Then the holidays came and I stopped trying. went back to nearly 195. AND my blood sugar results kicked the 'borderline' qualifier from my impending diabetes. I'm trying to get back to this point, low 180's, to start with. And doing the fingerprick dance to check what things are causing my blood sugar to spike, and how to maintain an even keel. I just keep telling myself now: "Sugar is Poison, Sugar is Poison!"
