I have been walking after work almost everyday. The weather has been mostly decent until two nights ago when heavy rain and high winds arrived. Today I felt sluggish and aimless and really didn't want to go or do anything. But my gym at work was closed. Three hailstorms and one downpour later, I had walked 2.28 miles. I took refuge under a tree during the worst of it near the end of my walk.
I'm taking bereavement leave next week bookending it with two weekends. After much thought over the past few days, I'm treating it like a 9-day retreat and wrote out my intention instead of a to-do list.
I decided to walk my errands today since they were all in a line from my home to downtown. End result: 6.94 miles recorded on Runkeeper split into two walks because I stopped for lunch.
