I finally hit rock bottom at 235 pounds. I made the decision to lose weight and get fit. This is not my first go'round with losing weight. I have lost and regained in the past. So whats different this time? Well I feel like I've learned to not give up when I slip. Because I WILL slip. This time, I pick myself up and keep going. Just because I have a slip with food does not mean that I have failed. I just tell myself to "SUCK IT UP AND GET OVER IT!" Yes, I do have pep talks with myself ...

Food will not cure my boredom, stess, fatigue, or bad moods. I know this and remind myself often.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose fat and gain muscle. I would like to keep improving my fitness level.

Another goal is to learn the reasons why I tend to overeat and learn how to deal with it.

My Program:
My exercise program is a three day split with weights. I also try to get some cardio in on most days.

My food program is just using the Spark nutrition tracker and eating clean.

Other Information:
I enjoy riding ATV's with my husband and two boys. I also enjoy cheap, smutty romance novels. As another form of exercise, I have recently started taking belly dancing lessons which is much harder than I thought but I love every minute of it!

thank you for your comment on my blog. You hit it on the head. I think my T.O.M. is next week, and I appreciate the tips on some good snack choices. That protien shake did NOTHING. It was the powder (soy protien 1/3 c) 1 c fat free milk and some huckleberries and honey. bleh! What a journey, huh?

You are probably just building your muscle back up, that could be why your not showing a loss this week. You will be there in no time.

When I first saw the bodybugg I wanted it and looked it up. Needless to say I was quite discouraged when I saw it was like $350. I happened to be reading a blog on it a couple days ago where everybody was rating it, listing what they paid and where they bought. Most were in the high 250s but then I saw a post from someone who said that they bought it through Costco.com online and $179 and included a year online for logging. I decided to get it, because I have also wanted one for so long. I havent told my hubby that I got it yet. Im just kinda hoping that he doesnt notice it on the bill and it gets lost between parts purchases he had been doing getting ready for the season lol. Keeping fingers crossed ;) I will let you know how it works. Oh they also had a list of pros and cons of it. It was all good, the only con was that some people get obsessed with the numbers....I just sat there thinking....is that really a bad thing??? emoticon

Im still here, just so busy at work and life that I have been slacking on logging in and keeping total track of stuff. I know I do better when I do. Hows everything going for you? Are you over being sick? Hopefully. I know it is hard to exercise and be sick. I ordered a bodybugg from Costco and cannot wait to get it. I am hoping that it will help me with calorie in and out. If I can get that down, this will get easier. I have a feeling that I think I am burning a lot more than I really am. How are your workouts going? Are you back at your level you were at before? emoticon

hope you don't mind, I added you as a friend. saw your post on an iron maidens thread. I enjoyed your spark page and look forward to learning right along with you. We are each an experiment of ONE and its tough to keep remembering that, especially w/ the media and our culture and how we've all grown up.

Wow! That is great that he is doing good and wants to get back out there. Im sure it is nerve racking for you though. Nothing seems to slow them down. Thats the kind of drive we need!

It is only Wednesday, but the fact that you are not letting being sick slow you down is awesome. Hopefully you get better soon. Once you build up your muscles and endourance, you will be back where you were in no time. I am using kettlebells and it is actually fun. I have been doing brisk walking in the evenings after work. Yesterday was the first day I missed. I messed up on my diet last night after I came home and there were cinnimon rolls. I know what you mean about feeling so blah when you put that into your body. I had no desire to walk and just kicked myself afterwards. It didnt even taste as good as I thought it would. I have to stop giving in so easily. You are right though! We are going to get going, as summer will be here before we know it. We ARE going to be ready for it & we WILL have our hubbys drooling...lol. emoticon
