Enlighten Me

I seem to have run in a great circle, and met myself again on the starting line.

My Goals:
I want a sexier driver's license photo to replace my decade-old one, and to lose the "baby weight" before my eldest starts high school in 2014.

I may sound vain, but I'm actually not vain enough, and I think that, by being moreso, I will also be healthier. ;-)

My Program:
Regular walks and hikes, indoor biking, rowing and yoga.

Personal Information:
I'm a brainy bibliophile lucky to have married a Geek with great hair. I have two kids and three formerly stray cats, and every one of us has our own computer. Or litter box.

My husband and I love to cook and eat good food---in fact, we'd often prefer to cook at home, rather than eat out.

Other Information:
Check out my Film Buffs group!

I'm only five foot ten.

You sound tired but successful, what with the money to buy clothes and the smaller self to fit into them! You are doing a great job. A nap now and then would help, right?

Chauncey was named after Chance Gardener, from Being There the novel, a terrific 60's book. Go read it if you haven't. I found him outside in the rain, a stray kitten, very meow-y and he was from the start so butch that I gave him a kind of lightweight English poof name -- Chance morphed into Chauncey. Except that I usually call him "Poodle" which although confusing (cat-wise) really is what I like to call him. He is 11 and I dote on him, despite his hissing and scratching and biting. My brother calls him Godzilla.

Chickens? You're getting chickens??

There are a couple of dogs that don't require a fence. Cats are cool and they're so low-maintenance compared to dogs. Of course, dogs are really people and cats really are not..
Happy freakin Spring!

I wouldn't know a compliment in French (or insult) if it slapped my upside the head. I really do not understand much French at all. I moved to this part of Canada 12 years ago and have not mastered the language. I do know to refuse "the deal of the week" at the grocery store check out though!
Thanks for the English compliment!
