re mad Max "Also, you should read some of the background on it---authentic stunts, some guys (director and stunt guy) from original film. Pretty interesting! :" I did read everything online - yes, every word, lol - for weeks beforehand. Still think Road Warrior was the best of the four, but any Max is good after this long. Tom Hardy is too wimpy. I hope Charlize gives us another Furiuosa installment soon, once she recovers from Fury Road.

YES to walking but in many little bursts rather than one big spine-compressing hike. My nursing-student daughter is doing clinicals at the VA and is getting quite the education. "MOM. Do not get old." "Veterans are treated horribly and deserve better." (Her dad was career military.) And this weekend, "MOM. YOU NEED TO LOSE THE REST OF THE WEIGHT NOW!" In her opinion, the bulk of the cause for what she sees is "lifestyle" rather than germs.
ooo Blog fodder.
Umami, I never saw Mad Max, can you believe it? I'm surprised and impressed you're recommending the new one. The girls certainly want to see it.. (Your rep's on the line, baby. I expect popcorn money if the movie's no good!)
Happy Freakin Monday!

Wow, very cool about the grandma plant emoticon
I lost the ex-husband, who had moved back home, and my mom within two weeks - ten years ago now - and I thought it was so unselfish of each when they bothered to let me know they were fine. omg AIRY FAIRY ALERT!!!
I should write this kind of thing in email...
Happy Thursday!

My friend keeps a pillow on the floor of her bedroom and when she has a hot flash she grabs that pillow off the floor and hugs it. She says it does the trick. I wonder if your bedroom floor is cool enough for the same to work for you. I prefer a fan and keep it running on me all night long. If I get hot I just whip off the covers for two seconds and then I'm good to go!

How is it "too hot" up here? Ummmm...I dunno! I'm not acclimated to your temps? It can get beyond 100 F here, but not often. When it was that hot when I was a kid, we couldn't even walk on the pavement in our bare feet. We'd often want to try and fry an egg on the sidewalk but mom wouldn't let us because it was a waste of an egg. She always was the type to rain on our parade. Kind of still is. Poor mom.
Also I get heat stroke fairly easily when I exercise mid day in the summer in full sun, unless I'm swimming. Before I lost all of this weight I could not stand the humidity here and compared to "here" and say, Nashville (the only slightly southern place I have been in the summer) it's DRY.
Now, go ahead and ask me how I survive winters at -30 C. Answer: long underwear, lots of layers, a fire and a man. Why are men always so hot? And I don't mean in the RDJ kind of way. Temperature wise.
