Here we go again! All I can say is "I lost my spark" in 2013. 2014 is a time for fresh starts...and no excuses!

I'm ready and on-track! I am going to meet my goals and exceed all expectations!
1) Lose 20 lbs
2) Train 5 days a week
3) Race 5 times in 2014

Here we go again! All I can say is "I lost my spark" in 2013. 2014 is a time for fresh starts...and no excuses!

I'm ready and on-track! I am going to meet my goals and exceed all expectations!

I've had ups and downs...I initially lost 37 lbs...and then I tore my meniscus in a bicycling accident. In January of 2010, I had surgery to repair the meniscus. All went great...and then came the pain...on Superbowl Sunday. I thought it was just a strain. Long story short - it turned out to be a massive clot in my femoral vein. I was devastated. I never imagined that a clot could be a life-changing event. I had to wear a compression stocking to keep the swelling to a minimum and inject myself daily with anticoagulants. I spent about a month crying over my situation. I had two choices: either I could sit around and cry about this...or I could try to do something about it. At 42, I was WAY to young to be limited by this. I decided to make my way back to the gym and found that the exercise helped keep my calf swelling to a minimum and I didn't need to wear the stocking.

So, as you can see, I've had challenges and victories...I always manage to figure out what I need to do to succeed...and I'm ready to re-ignite my spark and finish what I started!

I'm 100% on-board...I'm committed...and I'm packed and ready to set out on the first leg of the rest of the voyage! Wish me luck! Bon voyage old self-sabotaging habits!!!

My Program:
1. Follow the Clean Eating plan and eat within my assigned spark range of 1200 - 1500 cal daily.
2. Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
3. Include strength 2-3x a week.
4. Weigh in once a week.
