I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight to keep moving every body part they damage. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.

My Goals:

Getting at least 60 minutes daily of exercise. DVD's and the elliptical as well as fitness classes at the gym when I can make it.
Walking and hiking a lot! I don't drive, so I walk every where I want to go!

Hi LInda.

Daylight Savings Time meant that the time sprung forward so it's light in the evening now and dark in the morning again. I much prefer the opposite but apparently, I'm in the minority.

Hi Linda,

Thanks for your comment. If we have a quick thaw, flooding will very definitely be a problem. Beaver dams break above our property and a torrent hits our driveway where it crosses a culvert. This has been washed out a few times during spring thaws leaving an expensive hole and no vehicle access to the road. So far we have been able to anticipate and leave the car on the other side of the stream when things are dicey.

I like the idea of treadmill desks in theory, however I don't think I could read a book, write or use a pc while walking or jogging.
