Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (35 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight against every body part they damage to keep moving. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.
I can only type with two fingers so request you do not add me as friend as its all I can do to keep up with the great friends I already have!! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this!

I think the odds are in my favour that it is only related to the old dentures, but I hope I hear one way or the other sooner rather than later.
I don't understand why they just pick at it either. The growth has to come out, whether cancerous or not, so it seems mean to me to put someone through the biopsy and then through more surgery after. They will have to knock me out for the removal, whatever happens. I won't be able to get in that chair again unless I'm unconscious.
I can only think that the growth is treated differently, depending on whether or not it is benign, maybe. I will ask when I go back for the follow-up appointment.

Thank you so much for the comment on my blog!! It was an eye opener to see that what I've been doing isn't really a failure, it's an accomplishment of sorts... just not the accomplishment that I am going for right now. The good news is that I've learned to maintain within a 15 pound range... so maybe in the future when I start to slide around (which I know I will) I can stop it at no more than 10 pounds, then 5 pounds. When I get to goal and reach maintenance I want to maintain in a 5 pound range... so maybe I can use these slips as a learning experience.

I also wanted to say that your comment really reminded me that I obviously REALLY REALLY want this. Sometimes when I'm not trying I think "I must not care about weight loss", but I am always sparking, I am always doing my best to get back on track, and I have not thrown in the towel in a little over 2 years of trying this time. In the past I Would always get overwhelmed, and quit and gain everything back... but this time I haven't. Thank you so much for your wise words, it has allowed to me be proud of myself instead of ashamed, and it has also made me think twice and I am going to continue to work on getting back on track until it sticks again. :)

Thanks for the fantastic comment on my blog! I love that you included the word "accurately" when referring to how you track, because that's another thing I've run into with some people - they say they track, but don't do it even remotely honestly or accurately. Then when they don't lose weight, they just say that tracking doesn't work. It's all about accuracy, and consistency. Thanks again for the love, nice to see a fellow Canadian Sparker! :D

Hi Linda! Thank You for the Spark Goodie. I had the Pharmacy bring me out some Naproxen late Tuesday afternoon to see if that would help. It has help some. I'm still in pain at times. I'm trying to walk by myself. At times I limp now. So it is going take some time for all of the inflammation to go down and way completely. In the meantime there is no exercise for me because of this. My doctor will be back in the office Monday. She and her family went to Europe foe three weeks. So will see what happens from here. You are an Extremes Special Gal. You have been through so much in your life time. But yet you don't let anything get in your way of doing things. I admire you for it. You just keep pushing forward. So Proud of you. Keep it up You Can Do It. I'm behind all the way. Hope that you get a surgery date ASAP too. God Blessings Always. Have a Marvelous Day. Thinking about you. Good Thoughts, Prayers and Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Coming Your Way. Take Care.
