_LINDA is a SparkPeople Motivator!
Accurately tracking my food and fitness is what keeps me maintaining my weight loss. Thanks to Sparkpeople for getting me there!
Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (38 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight to keep moving every body part they damage. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.
I remain on Sparkpeople to keep up with the great friends I have made!! They are my role models and supporters Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this!

Walking and hiking a lot! I don't drive, so I walk every where I want to go!

The new apartment is 1110 sq. feet, so it should be fine. Our house was 2500, but we actually lived in only half of it. The new place will be more efficient, as it is handicap accessible, so if DH needs to use his walker he'll be good. Two bedrooms and baths is more than adequate. I like having an open concept. and the hard part is going to be the physical moving. But I can handle it! Eat right, drink plenty of fluids, and be careful! LOL!
May be MIA for a few days.
All is well!

Thank you so much for your kind words and empathy regarding my family of origin. I don't understand why my parents are the way they are, but they are, and all I can do is break the cycle and not act the way they do. One things for sure--above all else, I love God, my husband and my son more than anything in this world. I have amazing friends, like you, who always encourage me and care for me. My parents were just the people responsible for bringing me to this earth to experience a full life in ways that are different than most. I will be thankful, and hopefully allow the blessings and love to carry me through the tough times.

What was I eating? Foods that I shouldn't. There was the caramel apple pulled crown..um twice. I really thought I was more careful the second time. The Tootsie Roll pulled crown. Then there was the cherry pit in a salad cracked crown. This was the "only one jelly bean can't hurt" pulled crown. To be fair, it was a crown that wasn't in the best shape. To be smart, I really shouldn't have tempted fate. If the dentist asks, I was eating watermelon and bananas;-)
