Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (38 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight to keep moving every body part they damage. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.
I remain on Sparkpeople to keep up with the great friends I have made!! They are my role models and supporters Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this!

Getting at least 60 minutes daily of exercise. Online videos, (huge Jessica Smith fan!) DVD's and the elliptical as well as fitness classes at the gym when I can make it.
Walking and hiking a lot! I don't drive, so I walk every where I want to go!

Osteoporosis and a new mystery arthritis. 5 joints replaced, one failed and three foot surgeries with more to come. That is just life.

Not Meuniere's. I had one episode of what they called postural vertigo. They tested me for it by tilting my head until I felt the spins. Then they gave me medication for it--I think a motion sickness med, which worked almost at once.

You know Linda, I think we both have alot in common with many here....More of us grew up slim, active, without a calorie care in the world. It sure catches up to ya when you get up in years for sure. Luckily, I do not have a goal to fit into my size 10 shorts anymore...and they WERE a size 10, where today, they are size 10 but fit a 14....hmmmm....I had those shorts pinned on my wall, as a goal....but as I blogged, it was never to be. Hormones spread the hips....no more narrow body! ha....luckily my goal now is to be healthy!!!!!
I totally can understand your frustration with RA as a young person. YOu have endured so much, yet have kept on!!!! You are one to admire!!!! Keep on ticking!

Thanks, you made a good point.
My blood pressure began at 167 / 90 something and is down to 146 ish / 80 something.
That's with diet modification, exercise, and blood pressure meds. It's not coming down the way they expected, so we continue to monitor for now.
