6 Year Maintainer, Beating The Odds!

Accurately tracking my food and fitness is what keeps me maintaining my weight loss. Thanks to Sparkpeople for getting me there!
Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (38 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.

My Goals:
To stay as fit and healthy as my body will allow me.

My Program:
Getting at least 60 minutes daily of exercise. Online videos, (huge Jessica Smith fan!) DVD's and the elliptical as well as fitness classes at the gym when I can make it.
Walking and hiking a lot! I don't drive, so I walk every where I want to go!

I hate ice. Stay safe out there. I guess you are used to it and know how to deal with it... crampons, etc. where appropriate. (I swear by my YakTraks.)

Hi Linda, thanks for the shoes. I am on my third pair of hiking shoes!
Just used hot glue on my current ones as they are starting to get there!

I am on my way to Phoenix tomorrow, to stay with my cousin 2 days. We have several hikes planned there. Can hardly wait. Shall take pictures to share!!!
