No Friend Adds Please

I have difficulty typing (use just two fingers) and keeping up with the Spark friends I already have. So please do not add me as a friend, I have all I can handle right now! I am very busy with a volunteer job and I need to keep up with my fitness, so have little spare time to be on the computer. Tracking my food and fitness comes first as that is what keeps me maintaining my weight loss.

Thank you for commenting on my blog 3 years ago Monday.
Erik has come a long way, further than the doctors expected. So I praise God and enjoy Erik and our family and friends. I try to fit exercise in with Erik's schedule.

I agree -- it's great having the similar-but-different country right next door!

Hi Linda, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog.

I haven't had any formal kb training but a personal trainer recommended a dvd beginner workout that is excellent. I have been using them for over a year, on and off with conventional weights, and haven't had a problem. I am very aware of my posture and form when doing any type of weight training to avoid injury. When I was learning the exercises I did them while looking in a mirror along side of the tv, to make sure my form was correct. It took awhile, but I finally learned to do the exercises correctly.

Regarding lifting heavy, you are correct, trainers advise people to lift heavy to prevent momentum however, that's not an option for me because of my breast cancer and truncal lymphedema. I can work up to lifting heavy weights, but I have to start off lighter. The weights I use are not really light for me, and I make sure the I am not lifting with momentum. The exercises that I do are also not done fast, so I can really focus on form. I love using the kb. Have you used them before?

Well, I am off to start my Jamaican Black Bean soup in the crock pot. Talk to you later... Enjoy your day! emoticon

Thank you for your comment on my blog. DH & I like to meet local people when traveling. With his German and French and my Spanish and Slovak, we always try to communicate.

I often hear that "everyone speaks English." I've found that to be true in the tourist industry. Those people who are paid to take care of you DO speak English. As for the general population, if they have no need to use it daily, even if they studied it in school, their proficiency is about the same as what we remember from our HS/College language classes.
