Accurately tracking my food and fitness is what keeps me maintaining my weight loss. Thanks to Sparkpeople for getting me there!
Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (38 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight to keep moving every body part they damage. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.
I remain on Sparkpeople to keep up with the great friends I have made!! They are my role models and supporters Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this!

My Goals:
To stay as fit and healthy as my body will allow me.

My Program:
Getting at least 60 minutes daily of exercise. Online videos, (huge Jessica Smith fan!) DVD's and the elliptical as well as fitness classes at the gym when I can make it.
Walking and hiking a lot! I don't drive, so I walk every where I want to go!

RA since age 6 1/2 and now
Osteoporosis and a new mystery arthritis. 5 joints replaced, one failed and three foot surgeries with more to come. That is just life.

    Bob shares your agony with IBS! Remember the FODMAP High food list I mentioned before...these are the ones he avoids and more than likely you ought to.


    Other veggies are so good for you too....Beets, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Green Beans-these are the ones we eat regularly. If not fresh, we get the frozen ones. We just bought a beet mix to stir into water called Bountiful Beets we can have once a day...they are just loaded with good nutrition, including nitric oxide. They have another product called Super Beets out there. There is a low fodmap list too. We find Great Northern Beans have the least amount of gaseous content in them and don't cause too much issues. Hope you feel better soon. Glad to hear you use a digestive enzyme and probiotic....very important to keep up with that everyday! We use the digestive with each meal. Bob will use 2 with beans. Really helps him.
