_LINDA is a SparkPeople Motivator!
Accurately tracking my food and fitness is what keeps me maintaining my weight loss. Thanks to Sparkpeople for getting me there!
Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (38 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight to keep moving every body part they damage. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.
I remain on Sparkpeople to keep up with the great friends I have made!! They are my role models and supporters Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this!
To stay as fit and healthy as my body will allow me.
To eat healthy 80% of the time. First Joined Sparks May 13 2009 under the name JHADZHIA, that page is still open if you want to browse my previous adventures
Getting at least 60 minutes daily of exercise. Online videos, (huge Jessica Smith fan!) DVD's and the elliptical as well as fitness classes at the gym when I can make it.
Walking and hiking a lot! I don't drive, so I walk every where I want to go!
53, 5' 5" 130 lbs
RA since age 6 1/2 and now
Osteoporosis and a new mystery arthritis. 5 joints replaced, one failed and three foot surgeries with more to come. That is just life.

Hi Linda-- Thanks for commenting on the blog about losing my BB net--- My himself grew up in Jamaica where they had hired help--lots of it--- He is 87 yrs old too--working still-part time----- a DR., ---so ---out of sheer frustration, that blog spilled outta me this AM---- We had 5 kids--now almost all in their 40's--- with children of their own--- and--- they just don't think that their Mom and Dad need help ---- so, I do almost everything ------- I often wonder if most women my age with older hubbys are in this boat---- seems so by the response-- It does help to laugh about it----write about it--share it---- Kids just don't realize that their parents age you know! (Our daughter does see this tho--thank goodness out of 5 , we have a girl who sees all this!)
I hope I didn't upset you with this blog ---- I so enjoy yer comments ---- appreciate the support--look forward to reading what you say , even tho, I don't often get to tell yu this--- --Hugs, Lynda

Made my first smoothie with the V this morning.. I used almond milk, protein powder, spinach, strawberries and pineapple w/ice. It was delicious! I measured everything, but it was a bit high in carbs for me. I'll adjust tomorrow accordingly. But I was surprised at how GOOD it was! I think it will stay with me, and it definitely filled me up. The V is going to be a great investment in my health. DH got it for me for our 39th anniversary. He has seen that my lower carb/grain free lifestyle is working. Rheumatologist declared me in REMISSION yesterday! I DO believe in miracles!
Hope your weather is better today... Cooler here, but we sure could use some rain!
