I'm fighting my inherited trait of being overweight. I've always just been chunky but never obese, until now. I started April 2011, and managed to lose 63 pounds in that first year. I've been struggling a bit to stay on track this year. I still want to lose another 40 pounds...but have just managed to stay the same with minor fluctuations. I've shied away from going public in the past, but I'm hoping that by facing my demons and trying out the Sparkcoach, it might just be the oomph I need to ...

I've shied away from going public in the past, but I'm hoping that by facing my demons and trying out the Sparkcoach, it might just be the oomph I need to finally reach my final goal so that I can get on to the maintenance program which I'm looking forward to. No more YoYo dieting. I love swimming and kayaking and have not managed to incorporate much weight bearing exercise. This needs to change.

My Goals:
Enter a summary of your goals, or just a few you would like to share.
One too many people have said how much I resembled my mother. She was always morbidly obese. Enough said! I had always just been a bit chunky, always needing to lose between 30-40 pounds, until now. After a few health issues, the weight just piled on. Then I found SP and have never looked back. I still have 40 pounds to go, hence this public exposure. (Not my usual choice.) I just hope it helps me finally reach my goal. I'm in no hurry, but at the same time, procrastination can be sneaky. I need to make my final push. Watching the Olympics has strengthened my resolve in one way, but has also been a huge hindrance as I've been glued to the TV over the past week. I've just figured out how to view it all on line, so have got back into swimming. Yeahhh!!!
I've always been too heavy for my horse so have a young girl riding her. Not for long. I've always wanted to do hang-gliding. Finally, I want to stay at my goal

My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals.
I track my nutrition (most of the time). I try to swim at least 5 times a week tracking between 7-8 miles a week. Being a veggie already, I don't find it difficult to stick with "healthy" choices, it's just my portions that can sometimes be unhealthy. I love how SP can help keep that in check.

Other Information:
I have a lot of animals that I look after. 3 horses, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 15+ chickens, 35+ cockatiels, 1 parrot and tropical fish. My labours of love.
