Luna's Weight Loss Journey

I don't really remember when I started gaining weight. All I know is by the time I started Weight Watchers in March 2007, I was 180 pounds. I'm 5'7" so I wasn't obese but I was overweight. After trying lots of diets, Weight Watchers fit me better. On the Flex Plan I could eat anything I wanted! I also learned about portion control which has been one of my biggest obstacles in the weight loss run.

By June 2007, I was down almost 30 pounds and that's when I left to the Dominican ...

By June 2007, I was down almost 30 pounds and that's when I left to the Dominican Republic to be with my husband who's there in medical school. There's no Weight Watchers in the Dominican Republic so I had to keep following the plan on my own. I kept losing weight to the point where I reached my goal weight of 137 pounds. I was very proud of myself and loved the way I looked.

Now, for the past 3 months I have been out of control. I've totally fallen off track and I've gained 10 pounds. I know it's not much compared to the 40 pounds I lost but if I don't get back in the healthy eating wagon, it won't be long before I gain back all the weight I've lost and probably more. I really don't want to.

My problem is that not only I am addicted to food but I'm also an emotional eater. I eat and eat and eat whenever I feel sad, or tired, or bored... you get the point. It doesn't help that right now I'm an emotional mess because my oldest dog is sick, I'm broke, and I'm in a semi long distance relationship with my husband.

My goals for now are to lose those extra 10 pounds, and maintain a healthy weight of 135 - 137 pounds. I'm really looking forward to get back on track.
