My Goals:
Happily , I reached my short term weight loss goal of 10 LBs. by April 11th, 2011. My next short term goal is 5 more lbs.on or before July 4th 2011. That will be a grand total of 17 pounds . That goal has been met !! My next goal is 10 lbs. I don't feel pressured, as I continue to make this lifestyle of eating permanent.
My Program:
I am giving the Primal Blueprint eating lifestyle a good try ! The gym 5 or 6 days a week . a couple of Zumba classes a week
Personal Information:
I live in the great Pacific Northwest and enjoy Skiing , Yoga , the gym , cooking , entertaining , kabitzing with friends . shopping , reading , love bookstores , love learning , good wine , a well made martini once in a while...
Other Information:
I stopped smoking Seven years ago. It wasn't easy and while I am grateful I did it , I am now learning how I can also shed the excess weight it created, that makes me feel " less than". Don't like that feeling ...don't want it ! I started here at Sparkpeople in October 2010 and lost 5 lb. the low cal standard way . I then put it back on pretty much right away and was wrestling with an out of control obsession with food . The program that is workng the best for me is Nell Stephenson's version of a "plate" and how to fill it at each meal and snack. Her book Paleoista , really brings it all together for woman . I feel a mental and physical contentment from this way of eating that seems to be adding momentum in all ways in my life .So far soooo
