Hello! My name is Linda, but on SP I go by Ziplock. Thanks for stopping by my page!

I'm here, like most of you, to develop a healthier way of living while losing and/or maintaining weight loss. I've fluctuated over the years, but luckily I still manage to find my way back to Sparkpeople.

For those of you who ask what my SP name represents here you go: (and remember. You asked!) Ziplock because back many years ago when I first started SP I wanted a fresh start. I asked myself what kept things fresh...... and well somehow the only word that came to mind was Ziploc. Maybe I had a Ziploc container on my desk at the time, who knows. I added the k to the end for kicks. K-for kicks. Get it? Ok, never mind. Feel free to say hi, share encouraging words or even sarcastic comments. LOL! I super-love sarcasm!

My Goals:
Being healthy and staying at a reasonable weight without 'freaking out' if I have a treat once in a while.

My Program:
I finally have a program in place - well close enough to call it one anyway.

My hubby and I try go to the gym as much as possible. This could be 3-5 times a week if our schedules allow it.

We are both regular runners and enter races occasionally with our daughters (if THEIR schedules allow it, LOL).

Personal Information:
My name is Linda (aka Ziplock)

I live in South Carolina with my hubby, young son, and 2 grown up daughters.

I was on Sparkpeople initially back in 2008 when I lost 55lbs. My starting weight was 189lbs. And although my son was only 5 months old at the time -it wasn't baby weight.

My goal in 2010 was to maintain my initial weight loss, but this time I discovered strength-training and the amazing results.

Who knew that over 40 you could still tighten flab and develop lean muscle... not this girl! :)
