Starting Over.....Again.
I'm Christine, 48 year old mom of three sons; 21, 17 &14 and married 24 years to my hubby, Dave. I started SP at the end of July 2011 with a new mindset and lost 31.2 lbs. by March 2012. Truth is, it is very difficult to stick with a new eating lifestyle if the rest of the family isn't on board. My hubby has always been a fitness buff and does not have a weight problem. My three boys eat like bottomless pits and are skinny as rails. It's hard to be around all of their snacking and be strict. ...
And doesn't it always seem like when you start watching your diet, there is some kind of celebration and the food is always a central thing. Ugh! I just didn't care anymore and ate whatever. Of course, all the weight came back on. So I am starting over again. It's June, probably the best time to begin. I can get outside and go walking. Fruits and veggies are plentiful and I do love to eat them. I'll be looking for inspiration and hope to be inspiration for someone else. My weight has always been an issue. I never feel good about myself when I am fat. I feel like a slob and a failure. I have been up and down over the years. My greatest weight loss started in 2003. Family issues led to much anxiety and I just couldn't eat. It wasn't the healthy way to lose 60 pounds in about 10 months time. I managed to keep it off for about 4 years then it seems when I was comfortable with life I started to put the weight back on. I just wanted to eat what I wanted and that was that. By 2009, I had regained 37 pounds. I went on Nutrisystem and took off 19 pounds but I couldn't stomach that food anymore. Two years later and I have regained that 19 plus 10 more. I am ready to lose this weight for good and have a regular work out plan just so I can be and feel healthy. My goal is to lose at least 40 pounds and keep it off.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 50 lbs. but by eating normal foods, so watching portions and lots of fruits and veggies is key. 10% goal 18.5 lbs. 6/11/13: Oh man, I was so close, now I have to start all over again. I let other stuff get in the way and lost my focus. My goal is to not only lose 50 lbs. but also be fit. I will be 50 in less than two years and want to lead a healthier life style.
My Program:
My plan is to track my food intake and exercise for starters. I will be forced to acknowledge what I put in my mouth! After wandering around this site for a couple of days I am very inspired and hoping to make some friends to encourage and to be encouraged by. We can't do this alone, it's the hardest thing I have ever done.
Personal Information:
I reside in Connecticut.
Other Information:
I am first a wife and mom; licensed home daycare provider and in the midst of earning an associates degree majoring in health information technology.
