This doesn't feel so cliche anymore.

Day 320: Following all SP has to offer, I lost 88 pounds in 10 months and feel healthier - mentally and physically - but now it's time for a whole new experience. Just about finished with my first trimester and trying to learn a whole new set of ropes.

Day 180: On day 1 it felt impossible, on day 100 it felt manageable, and at 6 months it (and I) feel worth it.

Day 100: My original page title was "This is beginning to feel cliche". It doesn't anymore. I'm learning solutions and coping mechanisms for the emotional dependency and stress related relationship I had with food and how to live a life of balance. I don't have it all figured out, but I'm growing and shrinking through this process and that's all I can ask for.

Day 1 (1/2/13): I'm a twenty-something looking to improve her body image - like everyone else in my generation. Giving this a go for the third time around and looking to find the light at the end of the tunnel, rather than just stopping short and turning around.

My Goals:
I've wavered within 100 pounds for the past 15 years and have crept back up postpartum.

The goal is to slowly work myself to a healthy 150 lbs while balancing work, family, and me.

My Program:
This time I am focusing on moderation and pacing myself with mindful eating and exercise.

From June - July I followed diligent tracking and have moved into the Whole30 program for the month of August to reset my digestive system and relationship with food.

For the long-term, I am aiming to exercise at least 3 days a week (keeping it varied) and consistently remain mindful of portions, nutrients, and the difference between hunger and cravings. I want to eat more whole foods than packaged and processed foods.

Other Information:
Former competitive swimmer, all the way through college, now teaching high school English and learning how to balance parenthood and my own well-being.

A Naturopath might practice homeopathy. Mine does mostly acupunture and Chinese medicine. He uses my blood tests to determine where corrections need to be made using herbs and/or supplements. My mom has been seeing him for 20+ years, and I knew that he was the one I wanted to see to help get me on the proper track to good health. I wish that I could have gone to him for the cyst, but it required 'western' medicine. I feel like I've been on an episode of House, for as long as this process has taken!!

Thanks for the comment on my page. I am doing a lot of reading right now about whole30. I will make a decision at some point. It seem right now that it would be a bit hard as I work night shift and sustain myself on lean cuisine meals. I do eat a lot of fruit and vegtable. We will see.....
