The Runner in me!

6 months after giving birth to my daughter I am below my pre-pregnancy weight and still losing. I have set a goal of 119lbs (8 and 1/2 stone) but I may rethink that as I get closer. I'm back running races again and did my first ever 10k in 56 minutes 59 seconds on September 23rd and I am doing a half marathon in October. I am looking forward to setting more fitness goals in the future.

I haven't always had the best relationship with food, well... I don't think I've ever had a good ...

I haven't always had the best relationship with food, well... I don't think I've ever had a good relationship with food until now. My body confidence was minimal before I got pregnant but it's now better than ever before thanks to Sparkpeople. I'm continuously building on my healthy habits so I can pass them on to my daughter.

Read your post in the Maintainers daily check in thread. Wanted to suggest lentils for cheap protein. I've been cooking with them more and they are delish!

Hi Zennith, I just read through a thread from you on the Maintainance team and was wondering how the cal/protein/carb/cardio/strength hunger issue is going? I am right about where you are as far as lbs lost and lbs to go...seeking maintainance tips. Keep Sparking!

I can't even run for a full minute, honestly. What is with that?

I wish they showed us km markers! Last year at this race, they had a sign at 1 mile and 2 miles, but that was it. And I'm pretty sure the 2 mile mark was in the wrong place, because it said my second mile was insanely fast and my third mile insanely slow. I'll have my GPS monitor on, though, so hopefully I'll be able to keep some eye on the distance. I think I'll take your advice except I'll have to split into rough thirds...
