The Runner in me!

6 months after giving birth to my daughter I am below my pre-pregnancy weight and still losing. I have set a goal of 119lbs (8 and 1/2 stone) but I may rethink that as I get closer. I'm back running races again and did my first ever 10k in 56 minutes 59 seconds on September 23rd and I am doing a half marathon in October. I am looking forward to setting more fitness goals in the future.

I haven't always had the best relationship with food, well... I don't think I've ever had a good ...

I haven't always had the best relationship with food, well... I don't think I've ever had a good relationship with food until now. My body confidence was minimal before I got pregnant but it's now better than ever before thanks to Sparkpeople. I'm continuously building on my healthy habits so I can pass them on to my daughter.

Your birthday plans for Amelia sound fun! We don't have anything planned for Henry's birthday yet. The day after his birthday is my dissertation defense so I don't know how much energy I will have to put into planning for his birthday. We will probably do something over the weekend as a family to celebrate. My 6 year old, Heidi, is a good planner, maybe I will get her to start brainstorming for fun birthday ideas!

Our house is bananas about bananas, we go through a lot of them. Fortunately we don't have the same problem that you do! My kids are good about fruits and veggies: apples, oranges, grapes, berries, peppers, carrots, broccoli, and tomatoes are all favorites.

Thanks for the comment on my page. It is weird, but I can be disciplined with dark chocolate squares, yet leave me alone with a bag of jelly beans or gummi bears and somehow there won't be any left. I do have to avoid being around the things that I have no willpower with. Take care, keep sparking!

I wish that were true, but I haven't gained any muscle mass, nor have I done any strength training this month at all, so I doubt that's it. :/

I don't mind at all! Though I admit, I find chin-ups harder to do than pull-ups!! Most people find them easier, but i never have. I can almost do a full pull-up now (or at least I could before I messed up my shoulder), but I'm nowhere near it with chin-ups!! Maybe by the end of the year. :D
