Trimming Down Without Numbers

FAQ

Q: Who ARE you?
A: I'm a 30-something Seattlite, happily married, and a full-time graduate student who spent the past year in an extremely intense program that led to some weight gain...which is why I'm here. And my name isn't Zelda in real life, in case you're curious...Zelda is the name of my car. (Believe me, it suits her more than it suits me but the day I made this account I was feeling uninspired.)

Q: What do you mean by "trimming down without numbers?"
A: I will not post my weight here. I will not post my jean size, my bra size, my shoe size (oh you can have that if you want, it's a 7.5...), my shirt size...nothing like that. I'm not focusing on numbers necessarily in this little journey, I'm focusing on ME.

Q: But you say you want to lose some jean sizes...so you ARE focusing on numbers some, right?
A: Yes, that's true, but I will never post the exact numbers here. Not even when I'm down to my goal jean size. Because I don't think the numbers are what make you as a person. Does that make sense?

Q: What's your goal?
A: Three jean sizes by the time I walk across the stage to get my diploma, August 2013.

Q: If you lose those three sizes, will you strive to keep going?
A: I don't think I will. I'm not looking to be "thin", I want to be healthy. And I really feel that I'm healthiest with natural curves. I've been very heavy and I've been very thin. I don't look good in either of those situations. Remember, I'm more concerned about how I feel than what my weight is. I want to be HEALTHY, not a number.

Q: And you want to look hot at your graduation, right?
A: Naturally. ;)
