Hi i'm Duaa, i'm re-joining Sparkpeople after a very successful 1st attempt to lose weight Nov last year. I managed to lose over 2 stone (that's 28lb) did excersise at least 5 times a week (but usually pretty much every day, ate healthily and drank loads of water.

Then we moved house, and logging my nutrition got put aside (i thought i knew what i can eat now so i don't need it), pretty much stopped structrued excersise and really it all fell apart. To start with I didn't gain much weight since i was physically very active with the move and all that, but the healthy feeling i had from a healthy diet subsided and gradually my diet went back to what it was before. I'm back to gorging on chocolate (even though it's things i'm not all that keen on) eating take away regualarly (and eating massive portions) ...

I tried a couple of times to get back to where i was, tracking and so on, but i really needed to do all the motivational stuff again (like making charts etc) so i'm re-starting again - where i am at now is 0 point (fortuanatly i'm getting in before i re-gain all the weight i lost, i've only gained about 4 lbs).

So what am i going to do this time round. I'm going to write my mini goals here.
Goal 1
Start tracking nutrition and fitness agian - I'm going to start with drinking 8 cups of water and eating salad at least once a day, and increasing my day to day activity levels - do a bit of gardening, take my new bike instead of the car etc. Once my daughter's started school, i'm going to start running agian.

My rewards
losing 5 lbs -
losing 10lbs- pamper day
losing 15lbs-
losing 20lbs- New swim suit
losing 25lbs
losing 30lbs- GOAL REACHED

Hi, How's it going? I've been away from SP for so long. I had to focus on school. I only have 8 classes in my undergrad left! Woohoo! I'll msg you soon. Take care.

Duaa, I've decided to cycle more, too. My dad helped me put the the bike rack on the car this past Sunday. Now I need to buy a padlock to secure the bike. I live about 2.4K to the closest bike trail. Near my current work (about 11K from my house) are a great set of trails. They connect to a system that goes across the state. It will only be warm enough to bike for about another 2 months or so, so hopefully, I can get some rides in.

To Sparkpeople. I am happy to see that you have found some teams that interest you. Take your time and hunt around and get comfortable with the site.. it's all here.. a wealth of information to help you lose weight, feel great and change your lifestyle for the better. Try to spend some time looking at other Sparkpages and be sure to leave them a comment.. you will find many tips and friends in the process. Learn to use the nutrition log.. it will make such a difference in your success here. I have posted some tips on my page that I wish i had known when i started.

The most important thing you have to do to make this a success:
MAKE THE COMMITMENT TO YOURSELF

You can do this!
Have a wonderful day, debbie
